Welcome to "Awesome Band"

I regularly post a link to a Power of Prog member's page(solo artist, duo, band). While there are better-known artists I'll feature, I also focus on the new & unknown. This gives them recognition & makes it easy to hear something new.

I'm a musician:  powerofprog.com/profile/LenRice, not a music reviewer, therefore artists are selected based on what I believe are cool finds.  Don't interpret the lack of inclusion of your page as a negative judgement: there are hundreds of musicians here to explore.  However, if you've posted no music on Power of Prog, or excerpts only, you're ruled out ...so upload full songs!

See: Requirements for Possible Feature on "Awesome Band"

~See: Chronological & Alphabetical Indexes  for all previously-featured artists.

Sorry, artist &/or member self-promotion will be removed from Comment Wall. (excludes creator)  Thanks, Len

By not sharing your music you're missing out on a great opportunity to expose your creations to precisely the audience who will enjoy them the most & tell their friends!  ~Here are some possible reasons why you may be reluctant to upload your songs:   "I don't think my music &/or sound quality is good enough."  Nonsense!  This site has members of widely varying tastes & many couldn't care less about fidelity as long as they like the song.  "I only have demos & am waiting to…Continue

AWESOME BAND has been on extended hiatus due to health issues. In the meantime, please visit the Chronological & Alphabetical Indexes to link to all previously-featured bands ...awesome prog awaits!

Seems AB followed same path as most PoP Groups: initial support fades w/time(43% of PoP Groups inactive for 1+yrs). I'm proud AB got within 7members of 2nd largest! Led 'em to water for 420 days. (See my plea of Oct.11,2013)

What a great band and singer of the band!!! Their video Fallen Angel really shows what kind of professionals they are! One of the true gems I've found in Power of Prog!!!

I am sorry Len. I hear so much awesome music (about half of it from you), that I just get speechless at times. What a lot of great tunes and bands that are out there! I have found myself listening to AB music, but also other bands, ensembles and musicians. I have wanted to comment, but by the time I got through listening to all of these great tunes, I've forgotten what I wanted to say. So, part of it probably is being an old male progger. I have great hearing (I won't comment about the libido LOL), just horrible memory unless I've heard it about a dozen times. I will say that, what I remember, I did really like Dream Aria. I wish I could say more, but my memory has faded (it's been a few days since I've had a chance to listen to their music). And, (maybe not all that relevant here) as a performing musician, this is my very busy, musical time of the year. As a result, I don't get to jump on here quite as often, but I try. Thanks for the "push". =_)

I love this band and play them on my shows every week

C'mon people! Do we old male proggers have so little libido, sight, &/or hearing remaining that even the lovely, talented Ann Burstyn & Dream Aria can only inspire two comments in the past week(1 here & 1 on their page)?! lol ;-) Or do only a tiny fraction of our 224 members(3rd largest of 70 PoP groups) even visit "Awesome Band"?

Let's at least hear from that tiny fraction to determine its size. Consider sending some(polite)suggestions for increasing participation. The prior objection was "too many bands"; now it's only 3 per month... surely not too much on a site for music fans(?).

Meanwhile, I'll be staring anxiously at my pc awaiting a large-scale, positive reply or else be prepared for a giant, permanently-featured "LEN" logo with link & perhaps even a huge image of my ugly mug! ...aaaahhhhh!!!! No, Len!! Not that!!! LOL We'll start commenting more, we promise, we're all your friends, just come down off that window ledge, Harold. ;-)
