Comment by Fabrizio Pomata on April 14, 2013 at 2:05am Hello Everyone! This is "Sin Límites", an latin american progressive album written by Oscar Cardozo Ocampo, a Paraguayan musician born in Argentina (his father was part of the "Gold Generation" of paraguayan music, but was exlied from the country due to the rise of a military dictatorship). Here he is playing with his brother and some great argentinian musicians like drummer Luis Cerávolo. The aim of this proyect was to carry south american folk trought levels never explored before. I specially recommend the songs "Cielo Dórico" and "No habrá más penas". I hope you enjoy! This is the link:

Comment by Sonidos Latentes Producciones on March 27, 2011 at 1:34am LA CAJA DE SCHRODINGER - BIO
it all started when Jaime Pacheco (keyboards), Pablo Vélez (Guitar) and Johan Honores (Bass) shared the same interést for the prog rock genre and together they started to play covers of such style.
Until mid 2008, José Becerra (Drums) and Vicente Robles (Vocals) joined the musicians to shape up a band and start composing their own tunes.
Once together, and after getting good results, the band was named Umbral. However, that name did not last much and they renamed the band to La Caja de Schrödinger (2009), a band that leads their songs into the metal progressive style, influenced by bands such as Dream Theater, Liquid Tension Experiment y Ayreon.
Their good spirit, strong will and participation in different events and contests led them to meet the music community Sonidos Latentes, and such happening brought about a new stage in the band, now performing in an instrumental setup, since Vicente drifted apart from the band.
Amongst the events La Caja de Schrödinger participated in, we can mention the 2nd and 3rdFestirock Chalaco, several performances in Barranco bars such as Mochileros, La Vieja Taberna and Keko Bar. Furthermore, they performed in the two last edtions of Una Noche de Rock Progresivo and Piaggio Fest III– events produced by Sonidos Latentes – together with bands such as Shakken, Circo al Edén, Árbol de Fuego, Flor de Loto and Eter-K.
On september 2010, Emilio Carranza joins the band in vocals, who was a former singer in PEARL JAM and METALLICA tribute bands and also in hard rock and blues bands.
Once Emilio was recruited, they recorded the demo Mente Maestra in LA CUERDA studios.

Comment by Sonidos Latentes Producciones on March 19, 2011 at 9:52am ARBOL DE FUEGO - Biography
After finishing his experience with the metal band BLEED OF HATE, Jorge Pintado (Coco) decided to create a band that covered different styles, such as metal, prog rock, grunge, etc. In order to accomplish his project, he recruited Pedro Campos y Miguel Rodríguez and created a band named NUMEN. When Alonso Sánchez (former singer of ELIPSIS) was recruited for the vocals, they decided to change the band’s name to ARBOL DE FUEGO. By this moment, they accomplished to record a four-track demo called “Edén”, which they distributed on their own and through the web-based distributor Dorog Records (http://www.dorogrecords.com/).
Several reasons led Alonso Sánchez to leave the band. Meanwhile, on the wait for a new singer, ARBOL DE FUEGO performs as an instrumental band in several events in Lima, Callao and Barranco. This instrumental status allowed the band to acquire a more progressive and experimental style, which accomplished great response from the audience in every occasion.
The band’s music offers a personal and experimental style. They let the melodic line flow, but the music surprises the listener with sudden changes and progressive nuances.
Their influence comes from bands like Alice in Chains, Megadeth, Dream Theater, Cynic, Stone Temple Pilots, and many more.
Their album, “Numen”, was recorded in Quarter Note studios and edited on February, 2011.

Comment by Bryan Dade on March 18, 2011 at 10:58am Indeed..! I'm interested in giving airplay to bands on my shows for AiiRadio.
I do a 3hour specialist prog show... an 'album showcase' type show...and a 'love-in' show for more general stuff...but predominantly prog..!
