“TRYO” (Chile) is a Chilean music band, which has 30 years of extraordinary artistic career, that has recorded studio and live albums (in Chile, Brazil and the United States), has toured Chile and abroad (South America, North America and Europe), appearing in the most prestigious festivals around the world and sharing the stage with some of the best musicians of the recent decades. The group has maintained its original line up to these days, and is composed by the renowned Chilean academics and musicians Ismael Cortez (classical guitar, electric, vocals and keyboards), Francisco Cortez (cello, fretted / fretless electric bass, vocals, bass pedals, station) and Felix Carbone (drums and various acoustic, electric and hybrid percussion instruments, such as Mallet Kat, marimba, vibraphone, Handsonic, Wavedrum, Octapad, djembe, derbake, cultrun, gong, quartz and tibetan bowls). Its unique and distinctive sound, is the result of the fusion of various musical genres, including Metal, Rock, Jazz, Chilean and Latin American folklore, World Music and Classical Music, which provides a great sound variety to its discography.

Some of “TRYO” (Chile)´s career highlights are: a) several opening acts for famous rock bands such us “Yes”, “Adrian Belew Power Trio”, “Joe Satriani” and “Kansas” in their presentations in Chile; b) having played with the renowned Dutch fusion group “Flairck”, the amazing mexican vanguard artist “Luz de Riada” (with Ramsés Luna, former “Cabezas de Cera”) and the great Brazilian jazz musician “Hermeto Pascoal” in their visits to Chile; c) that its musicians share the stage with “Jimmy Page / Robert Plant” (Led Zeppelin) in their concert in Chile and also with other excellent Chilean artists, such as “Los Jaivas”, “Congreso” and “Fulano”; and d) finally, compose “Patrimonio”, the soundtrack that accompanied the successful application of Valparaiso as “World Heritage” in UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization).During their successful artistic career, the band has received many recognitions and excellent music specialized press reviews in Chile and abroad (e.g., named “Chilean Artist of the Year” 2014 and 2016 by Rockaxis). Over the years, the group has been evolving and experimenting with new sonorities and musical fusions, but always maintaining its essence and unique musical vision-language. In addition, TRYO has inspired and supported new generations of Chilean musicians with their careers abroad. Due to all the above, many people consider them to be one of the most important and influential artists in the history of Chile. Currently, TRYO (Chile) is in one of its best moments, developing concerts all around the world (in electric, acoustic and choral symphonic formats). In addition, the band is promoting its new albums 2016: “Ofrenda” (greatest hits) and the conceptual album “Órbitas” (chosen “Best Chilean album of 2016” by “ChileanSkies”). Finally, the band is preparing its next national and international tour “30 Years in Orbits: 3 Decades of Music” (2017 – 2018), considering the musical collaboration of other prominent Chilean and foreign artists.
