We regret to announce that we have made the very difficult decision to officially cancel Farfest 2012. The organziation of this event was quite complex, and in the end, there was simply insufficient ticket sales to move to the next level of production. For those individuals who have already purchased tickets, you will be refunded the full amount of your ticket cost PLUS the service charge as well.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO CONTACT THE BOX OFFICE TO REQUEST A REFUND.
The Tickets at the Grand - Box Office will automatically begin processing refunds this morning, July 18, 2012. Please be patient as it may take up to one week for the refund to appear in your account. Please note that if the account you used for the ticket purchase is no longer active, or your credit card has expired, you will have to contact the Box Office to provide an alternative account into which your refund can be deposited.
If you need assistance with a refund issue that cannot be resolved by the Box Office, please contact us directly by email at gwv@farfest.com
Crticial commentary regarding the cancellation is welcome at A 70's Progressive Rock Forum
We would like to thank everyone who supported the Festival and for those who purchased tickets, especially the Farfest 2012 Patrons. We would have never gotten as far as we did without them. We would also like to thank the bands for their willingness to perform and for their enthusiasm for the event.
Some people have suggested that we reschedule the festival for the summer of 2013. Although we remain open to the idea, it is unclear whether another multi-day prog music festival in the US will be viable in the future.
Lastly, we would like to thank all the people that helped us along the way which includes Adele Schmidt, Andrew Miller, Bob Rosenthal, Brian Schweinsburg, Chad Hutchinson, Charles Snider, Arthur Fields, Beau Segal, Dan Shapiro, Frank Stickle, Gene Stopp, George Orozco, Helaine Burch, Jim Rezek, John Colinge, Jose Zegarra Holder, Ken Golden, Kevin Feeley, Leo Furman, Leonardo Pavkovic, Mark Keill, Mark Krueger, Johannes Schult, Michael Bennett, Mike Ostrich, Paul Whitehead, Peter Denholtz, Rob LaDuca, Sean McFee, Sean Powell, Uri Breitman & Vicky Powell. In addition, we appreciate the efforts of all those who posted announcements about Farfest on various Internet sites. We apologize if we have left anyone out.
