What is Power of Prog and How did it come to
be.
Power of Prog was launched September 29th 2009 by Florida based grassroots independent label Melodic Revolution Records which specializes in Prog but also works with other genres of music. The site name carried over from a 2008 Prog Festival hosted by the label. The idea of a prog social network came Nick Katona back in early 2009 after becoming frustrated with having to go to various sites to fill his prog needs.
There are many wonderful prog sites on the net unfortunately each one is
specialized by a topic, one site might be for forums, another site
for reviews, another site to purchase music, another site for blogs
and so on you get my point.
Nick wanted to change that concept and bring all those elements
together in one location where musicians
and fans can meet up shop
for music, share conversations, videos, music,
forums,
groups,
and other ideas. So there you have it a social network for the prog
minded. What you will not find here, Games, Pop Ads and
spammers.
Just some of the styles of Prog you will find here on
Power of Prog

Experimental/Post Metal, Heavy Prog, Indo-Prog/Raga Rock, Jazz
Rock/Fusion, Krautrock, Neo-Prog, Post Rock/Math rock, Prog Folk,

Hi, my name is Brian Chatton. I also lived in Orlando myself for four years, working with Back Street Boys management, which included working with N`sync, Studio Z, and Pat Travers. I have had a very successful career both here in the US, and 27 years living in London, working with people like Jon Anderson, Phil Collins, Meatloaf, Eric Burdon, Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker, Keith Emerson etc etc. plus hanging out with guys like Jimmy Hendrix during the club scene in the late 60's. Please check my Myspace.com/brianchatton website. I was writing to you hoping you may be interested in an interview with me about my upcoming solo tour to include a giant screen on which I will project a video show of my musical history, plus play live with a guest artist I've worked with at some time during my 50 years of rock n' roll. I was also the writer/performer of Boys don't cry who had the hit single "I wanna be a cowboy". I have been told many times that I have many funny and interesting tales to tell, and I would love to share some of them with your well informed readers. Thank you for your kind attention, and hope to hear from you soon. Sincerely Brian Chatton
(Los Angeles resident).
