An eccentric name for an eclectic band, whose ambitious concept is of eight emotional conditions of a man eager to get out of a house of many red rooms, each one a memoir of his unfortunate life. Happiness comes from breaking down a chosen nailed up door and escape from his hermit space provides entry to a free world where he requires fantasy to create and form his new life. Musically, there’s a prog funkiness to it, with no holds barred as they weave disparate styles together on an intriguing musical journey of rough and smooth.  I suppose I have to mention Zappa somewhere in this review to try to give a point of reference, although I don’t remember Frank mixing jazzy grooves and prog metal, or coming up with a salsafied rap with classical piano backing.  It is hypnotically challenging and strangely beguiling!   DP
