Profile Information

I am the following; a: Band, Musician

Style of Prog: Progressive Folk, Progressive Electronic

Biography: Académia, Sweden, was as most active during the early 1990's revival of progressive rock in Sweden. They played live in several music festivals in the mid 1990's, and released a CD: "The Tale Of The Ocean Waves.

Académia was formed in the late 1980's by guitarist BeO A and keyboardist Staffan L. Around 1989 they had a cooperation with vocalist N, who joined i a couple of studio sessions.
In 1992 Académia began to work with our CD "The Tale Of Ocean Waves" and wad joined by drummer Mattias J. 1993, in the middle of recording the album the vocalist Sara Lofgren enchanted them with her voice (Sara Lofgren is currently having a successful carreer as an artist in Sweden).

The band has been asleep since 1996, but the band members has been making music ever since in various constellations.

Influences or Favorite Bands: Mike oldfield, Dire Straits, Clannad, Isildurs Bane, Pär Lindh project.
