Biography

It is interesting to look back and reflect on what the creation of “In Sudden walks” meant.
“The Yearning” had been for us a genuine and honest expression of ourselves; thus we faced the challenge of remaining true to our essence whilst at the same time going further seeking new and original grounds.

We spent a long time working on what would become our second album. It would be impossible to count the days; evenings and nights we shared discussing images, concepts and ideas.

We had the need to express something personal and meaningful, to find unique musical substance and to overcome the suffocating affair of thriving in a society where what we do is of little importance.

It is, of course impossible to deny that we dream of reaching a wider audience, expanding our frontiers and, thus, being able to do what we love.

We come from the edge of a continent and live in a chaotic city isolated from the world but we strive to create music that goes beyond our borders; music that has been influenced by varied sources and that fuses different genre.

EVENTS:
The composing stage was long and we had total freedom and time to create. We composed in small groups, knowing that not every piece of music will make it into the album.

Pre production started in the winter of 2007 with the musical arrangement sessions, followed by rehearsals and ending after 6 months in long and exhausting recording sessions.

The production of this album would last over a year and resulted from the joint efforts of talented individuals, ranging from the best technical team to gifted musicians and the collaboration of a selected few guest artists.

Incorporating theatre into our music was one of the risks we were determined to take and we were fortunate to work with three prominent local actors and actresses.

DRIVE
“In Sudden Walks” was born from our experiences, our aspirations, our anxiety, our struggle; our need to hope and conceive, our fears, ambitions and dreams, and the desire to walk our own path, and if in some way we found it, here again we have the chance to share it with you.

Sorry... I should have cleared things by using "I" instead of "you". There is music I will instantly understand and enjoy. The complexity of the music doesn't have any effect there, although I of course prefer more complex music. Perhaps I tried to say that my mind and your music are soulmates (though not the only ones).

This is a personal thing, but some music you will immediately understand and some will need many listenings. Yours is of the first kind.
