COLD FLAME - THE ELECTRIC SHOW
Cold Flame were brought up on the classic British rock and blues band of the late 1960's and early 1970's and this is something that is clearly registered in the band's approach to live performance and studio recording.Formed in 1984 primarily to perform original blues and rock music the band has evolved and developed through the years presenting audiences with a full range of musical genres whilst still remaining close to their blues roots.Whilst performing mostly in the north of England and the Midlands,Cold Flame have performed right across the country and also in mainland Europe mostly as a headlining act or supporting some of the premier rock acts in Britain such as Uriah Heep,Dr.Feelgood and Mick Abrahams Blodwyn Pig. The band have extensive experience in performing at music festivals, biker rallies and real ale events.High on visuals and excellent musicianship, the band have incorporated their musical roots in covering the music of many of the giants of rock and blues music alongside their own acclaimed explosive original vindaloo rocking blues material which still remains the key factor in the band's live and visual performances.
When not performing their original electric and acoustic music,Cold Flame moonlight as one of the premier Jethro Tull tribute acts in the UK with a two hour plus show packed with classic Tull material - high on humour, visuals and quality music.Cold Flame have released several live and studio albums over the years and in 2007 released a new double live album which has sold both in the UK,Europe and the USA.
COLD FLAME - THE ACOUSTIC SHOW
Cold Flame's acclaimed two hour plus acoustic show is a lively mixture of English and celtic acoustic and electric folk rock music. Violins, mandolins, guitars and vocals merge together in a heady cocktail that ranges from gentle ballads to rowdy foot stomping jigs and reels.Whilst original music is to the fore influences and music ranging from Jethro Tull and Fairport Convention to Bob Dylan,John Martyn,Paul Weller,The Beatles and Del Amitri also feature in the lighter shades of Cold Flame. The band play mainly in the Greater Manchester and North west of England appearing regularly on local radio stations and headlining regional beer and folk festivals.More recently the chaps have visited Europe where they have performed at both indoor and outdoor festivals in a number of countries.
