Dear FishHeads, freaks, fans and the Company,



I'm finding the onslaught of Christmas quite frightening this year as it has appeared seemingly out of the blue!



As always Christmas cards are frantically being scrawled and with the Nearfest DVD arriving today (8th) it's all hands on board to get the packages on Santa's sleigh!

Well after a quiet few weeks suddenly I was assaulted by all manner of events.



I am writing this on a driech Scottish Sunday afternoon; wet, windy and grey.

The log fires are on earlier every day and the darkness is numbing.

Tonight in St Mary's church in Haddington I will be reading Edwin Muir's poem, "Horses" as part of the Saltire Event that is taking place throughout the day in East Lothian.…

I know I have been quiet for a while but between the book writing and other concerns, time flew by.



The main reason for my lack of communication was that I was waiting until after I had an Ear, Nose and Throat appointment and had more information.
