- Gens de la Lune est le nouveau groupe de Francis Decamps. Francis Decamps est un ancien membre du groupe Ange. Il a composé de 1969 jusqu'à 1995 la plupart des 25 albums d'Ange. Il a 30 albums à son actif, ainsi que 6 disques d'or, des milliers de concerts en France et dans une dizaine d'autres pays. Francis Decamps est également lauréat du Grand prix de l'Académie Charles Cros. Le groupe Gens de la Lune a livré un premier album éponyme de rock progressif en 2008, sorte de conte musical peuplé d'accents symphoniques. La dénomination du groupe fait référence à une légende circulant dans le village de Champey, près d'Héricourt, dans la Haute-Saône : les habitants de la localité auraient eu l'illusion de voir leur village incendié une nuit de pleine lune.
Hormis Francis Decamps (claviers) le groupe est constitué de 4 musiciens: Jean-Philippe Suzan (chant et percussions), Claude Demet (guitare), Farid Boubrit (basse) et Cédric Mells (batterie).
"Gens de la Lune" is Farncis Decamps' new group. Francis Decamps used to be in the group called "Ange." From 1969 to 1995, he composed most of Ange's 25 albums. He has 30 albums in all, 6 gold discs and thousands of concerts in France and other countries to his credit. Francis Decamps was also awarded the "Grand Prix de l'Académie Charles Cros". "Gens de la Lune" brought out a first album of progressive rock in 2008, a sort of musical story with a symphonic accent. The group's name is a reference to a village legend. Champey, near Héricourt, in Haute-Saône (France), where the inhabitants thought they saw their village set fire to on a night of full moon.
Apart from Francis Decamps (keyboards and vocals), there are 4 others in the group : Jean-Philippe Suzan (vocals and percussion), Claude Demet (guitar), Farid Boubrit (bass) and Cédric Mells (drums).
