Biography
Paulo Vivini is a French musician born in the middle of the last century on the grapevine of Bordeaux. He starts the piano and the music theory in his youngest age, as a teenager he goes on with the guitar, rock then classic with the excellent Marc Franceries, professor in the Conservatoire de Toulouse, then in Paris with the great Elisabeth Lagoya. He studies, at the same time the analysis and the composition in the Schola Cantorum and in the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris. In the beginning of the seventies he creates the band Paracelse with musicians of the Toulousian psychedelic scene as François Bessac, Christian Foache, Paul Sanchez, Jean Cartini. This band of experimental music plays on various stages of the South of France. He joins then, by chance, the international and legendary band, Mother Gong, with which he plays in England and in Spain in front of hallucinated and enchanted crowds. He shares the stage and the studio with musicians of the English progressive rock (Soft Machine, Gong, Van der Graaf Generator), such the magnificents Daevid Allen, Didier Malherbe, Gilly Smith, Guy Evans, Lady June, Kevin Ayers. He also participates in the recording of various éphèmères and talented bands : The Book of am, Scallywag, Nemrod, Dogon. He plays now, improvisations or compositions, solo or with others musicians in Toulouse. The last bands : Châpitre 13 and Jenny Pignata ...
