Multiple award winning composer, performer and Delta Tone 40 Records recording artist, Jon Magnificent.

As an infant, the first time Jon Magnificent stood up and walked, he went for his parent's radio and changed the station.

His father was an inventor and carpenter, whose day job was as an engineer working on guidance systems for missiles at a nearby military base.

At age 10, Jon built his own radio station in his bedroom.

He created his own microphones and amplifiers by rewiring parts of old headphones and reel-to-reel tape machines. "Those reel machines were warm-sounding, tube-driven ecstasy for the ears." Jon said.

His father died of cancer when Jon was 14, but his very strong mother was determined not to allow this to dramatically change the normal routine of her six children. Though she had been a housewife and homemaker for their entire marriage, she opened a new Italian restaurant close to the house and made it a success.

Finishing his junior-high schooling, Jon scored 8th highest out of over 2000 applicants to a private, Catholic high school. But, while still a freshman, was properly expelled.

Continuing on at a public high school, he carried his guitar with him everywhere, and usually skipped all classes except creative writing and jazz band preferring to spend most of his day in the school library where he would read occult, physics and philosophy books in between polishing up his creative writing assignments and practicing his guitar.

He left home at 16, from the small town he was raised and headed to Los Angeles to make and perform his music.

He is now self-taught on guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, percussion and harmonica and plays over 20 instruments at last count.

He is a professionally trained singer.

He is a professional recording engineer and record producer.
