- Band SPIN XXI is nothing more nothing less of what the return of Band SPIN (Rio De Janeiro - Niterói - decade of 70). , also known as Contraponto (in 1978/1979) when she assumed different formation.
SPIN XXI returns to the action and the COMPACT DISC, remaining itself faithful ace its origins, with a mixture of some styles, (Classic, Jazz, Rock…) but predominantly Gradual Symphonic.
They define its sound as MPB ( Brazilian Progressive Music), where influence them Brazilians of rhythms do not appear clearly printed in the compositions of the Group, but yes assimilated and adapted.
Although the influence, folk, acoustics and country SPIN XXI are an electric band, but above all eclectic.
They had been congregated, for the first time in 1972 and today they are part of the formation:
KAKAO Figueiredo (vocal main, incidental instruments - keyboards, guitars and percussions) owner of a studio in Niterói and that it studied I sing lyric with the baritone Singer voice Paulo Fortes, and regency in the UFRJ. Amongst its main influences they are Peter Gabriel, Milton Nascimento and Raul Seixas;
TATOO Magdalena (guitars and electric Guitars and backing vocals) guitarist of full hand that uses the technique to touch guitar with fingers pickin (as in the Banjo) to reach resulted unexpected. Between its influences they are: Santana, Bela Fleck , Steve Howe and Steve Hacket;
ERALDO Márcio Corrêa (keyboards) a piano Player formed by the Brazilian Conservatory of Music and its main influences are Rick Wakeman, Tony Banks and Nelson Freire;
SYLVIO Sá Corrêa (battery and percussion) made some courses of battery and studied with Dámaso Cerruti. Its school comes of the jazz and its main influences Bill Brudford and Phil Collins
MARCELO of Alexander Venâncio (Bass, Moog Taurus, Acustic Guitars and backing vocals) it did not participate of the initial formation, but already it helped the band participating of the productions, has as some of its influences, Chris Squire and Mike Rutherford.
The agenda afflicted of shows of séc XX is if repeating.
