Style of Prog: Progressive Metal

Biography: Progressive metal band from Torun, Poland. Earlier in 2009 under the name of Crystal Lake, the group released their album 'Safe'. Since then the line-up of band has changed. Marcin Gawelek (guitar), Lukasz Bienkowski (bass) and Piotr Wypych (keyboards) were joined by Krzysztof Owsiak (vocals) and Piotr Majka (drums). It had a direct impact on the sound of the band that became heavier and arrangements of the songs that group had been working on, gained even more progressive nature, including extremely versitile play of a new drummer. Low distinctive vocals, likened by some to Fish, replaced the one known from earlier release of the band. Marcin Gawelek's guitars have become harder and sharper in expression, synthesizers by Piotr Wypych brought a completely new atmosphere, gave a different space, bass guitar by Lukasz Bienkowski sounds fuller, and along with unpredictable drums of Peter Majka gives the music of Logic Mess completely intentional character - logical mess.After changing the name to Logic Mess - much better characterizing the music of the band, the group proceeded to record an album which took place at Studio X in Olsztyn in July 2011. Work on the album proceeded in a great atmosphere, pre-arranged songs received last "touches" in the studio. Recording process took three weeks of intensive work, often several hours a day. The musicians have enriched a number of new experiences, work on the concept material require a completely different approach, and certainly is much more demanding. In addition to his instrument, each member of the band recorded vocals as well, either in the form of choral singing choruses, screams and even growl (Piotr Majka). Their concept album "Element Of The Grid" released on 17 September 2012 by Lynx Music is available now! It contains nine compositions, forming a whole musical and lyrical story. For 2012 there is also a tour planned, promoting the debut release the band.
