- Around mid june 2010 in Mexico City, four musicians got together to create and narrate sonic tales, finding in the name Luz de Riada (Flood of light) the playful identity that detonates the search for sonic imaging generation.
Luz de Riada is formed by Hugo Hernández Chipa (Drums), Gustavo Jacob (Guitar), Hugo Santos (Chapman Stick) and Ramsés Luna (Saxophones, WX5, guitar and voice); self-taught musicians with long careers and have been part of different and remarkable projects in the mexican music scene, for example: YEQUINA PAVÓN, LOS JAIGUEY ,CABEZAS DE CERA,ROBERTO PONCE, JOAO ENRIQUE, SAENA, ENRIQUE NERY among several others.
The quartet has borrowed inspiration from the alegory of light as a source for energy, that is translated into music through the construction of stories, there´s where Luz de Riada finds its toehold to reach the audience's imagination.
