Hey everyone, how's everything?

After Need's recent euro-tour with Jon Oliva's Pain and our homecoming gig in Athens, here's an update on what the band is up to lately!

Need are currently throwing new material on the table, demo-ing, pre-producing, orchestrating and re-arranging the ideas of the last year and a half. Things come out sounding pretty tight and heavy, naturally progressive…

Profile Information

I am the following; a: Band

Style of Prog: Progressive Metal, Crossover Prog, Also a fan of other genres of music

Biography: NEED started their journey through music back in 2004 when the band's first line-up recorded a promo e.p. entitled "Avoidinme". After several line-up changes, NEED got stable in early 2006, when they composed and recorded their debut album "The Wisdom Machine" which was released on November '06 via Burning Star Records. "The Wisdom Machine" received amazing reviews from magazine and webzines all over Greece and around the globe and NEED got to promote their album by playing many shows around Greece and having a mini euro-tour with Danish prog/death metallers ZENITH. In Greece, NEED did share the stage with bands like CANDLEMASS, JON OLIVA'S PAIN, THRESHOLD and DEADSOUL TRIBE among others. In the fall of 2007, NEED started their collaboration with German management group Redlion Music (JON OLIVA'S PAIN, EVERGREY, CIRCLE II CIRCLE, RAVEN e.t.c.)

NEED spent the most part of 2008 working on their second album "Siamese God". The album was recorded at Soundflakes Studios, Athens, while the mastering process was handled by Alan Douches at West West Side Studios, New York. "Siamese God" was released in late 2009 via Venerate Industries and distributed in collaboration with Rock Hard magazine Greece. Once again the reviews for the album were excellent and in the fall of 2010, NEED toured for 3 weeks in 6 countries of central Europe with JON OLIVA'S PAIN (U.S.A.) and NEVERLAND (Turkey). These days NEED work on new material for their upcoming, third album.
