Plurima Mundi is a musical sextet: the leader is Massimiliano Monopoli(violinist), Grazia Maremonti (voice), Massimo Bozza(bass), Vincenzo Zecca(guitar), Pierfrancesco Caramia(drums), and Francesco Pagliarulo(piano). Listening to their music you will find bits of swing, classical, jazz-fusion, blues, and ethno-funk coming together as progressive rock. Vitality and energy are main ingredients of their creations, offering "a new renaissance, a search for new musical horizons which embrace technology." Released in May 2009 Atto I is their debut EP which can be obtained through MaRaCash Records or BTF. The band hopes to continue with a future full length project.
Donato Zoppo (MovimentiProg, Jam) writes "The main role of the violin let Plurima Mundi be the worthy heir of PFM and Curved Air, but thanks to their elegance and dynamics, they are heir of Jean Luc Ponty rock-jazz and Mahavishnu Orchestra too. Atto I is only the first step towards a really worthy project."
BTF's site notes: "Influenced by Osanna, PFM, King Crimson and Jethro Tull, Plurima Mundi features Lino Vairetti from Osanna singing the final track "Aria". The music of Atto 1 is the result of a classic symphonic progressive rock with the Mediterranean folk melodies."
