Mute Albino replied to Melodic Revolution Records's discussion What Is The Best Prog Album Of All Time?
"hard to say, what kind of Prog? My fusion side would say : The Grand Wazoo (Frank Zappa). It's an adventure, a war of notes. My Folk-Prog side would say : Thick As A Brick (Jethro Tull) because the mix between Folk and Prog is so natural.…"

Biography
I've been drawing from childhood, always been looking for new ways to express myself.
I had an uncle, a professional illustrator/caricaturist who was very inspiring to me,
not only for being an excellent cartoonist, but he had this rebel side, which appealed to me!
He was tolerant, sarcastic, monty python styled witty but also excentric and he loved Frank Zappa.
We came to visit him one day, me and my family, and found him on the floor in some kind of yoga position, listening to 200 motels.
He showed me the cover, pointed at Zappa, saying : "Isn't he a cutie?". So, that got me interested.
Through this music, i also became interested in contemporary classic, avant garde and other types of progressive rock.
Yes, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Peter Gabriel's era Genesis, ...
Learning the guitar myself - which i still find difficult to master -I tried to play what i wanted to hear,
but only succeeded fully from 2000. I bought an iMac and dumped my portastudio. This was the way to be creative.
While drawings only give a momentarily feel of satisfaction, music was a constantly enduring pleasure,
hence the love for prog, because it enabled you to find new layers all the time.
This was adventurous music whereas mainstream and mainstream jazz gets easily boring (boring!).
But since I also adored some songs by mainstream representatives like Bowie, The Beatles, even The Beach Boys,
it turned out i wanted my songs to be short and also appealing to my mainstream needs.
So in a way, i created a mix of prog, rock, jazz, pop, avant garde, irish folk, arabian music, even classic to some content.
People always used to say that my music was epic or filmic. This was obvious even when i started to play.
I tried to form bands, but never really succeeded at that, partly because it's hard to explain what I wanted to hear, and also difficult to interact with egos, or people who think they "know", and don't really.
Influences or Favorite Bands
Frank Zappa, Yes, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Henry Cow, Steve Vai, Pre-Collins Genesis
