More info;
William was born in Tienen, 13th October 1960. He is happily married to Elke and father of one amazing kid.
Slighly peer-pressured by his parents, he started playing the piano at a very young age. However, their efforts proved futile as William took a more passionate shine to the drums. After a few years he convinced his parents of the 'uncool' image of the pianist; hence, somewhere in the mid 80s, the joyful birth of both his musical career and his newly found identity as a drummer.
William was part of a variety of local bands, and as any young musician, went through the stimulating, inspiring and at times endless pattern of rehearsels rewarded by a few local concerts.
In the 90s, he built his first professional studio at home and started to play more piano again, the parental efforts had not been completely in vain! From his studio “The Fade Zone”, William helped a number of youngsters record their very first CD's. In 2000, William relocated to Antwerp where he continued to pursue his passion for music from the downstairs location of his new music studio. He also occasionally left his 'musical grotto' and engaged in projects with new like-minded friends such as Robin Aerts (bass musician: Shoot the Moon), with whom he collaborated in several Dukes of Confusion projects leading to the completion of two CD's, produced by Robin.
In the meantime William kept fueling his passion for composing and the desire for the production of a solo CD grew steadily in the back of his mind. This desire was obvious as William's years of studio time had led to a true collection of recorded music in a variety of forms; from simple chords to fully developed songs. Finally, the small world problem brought two musical brains together; as soon as William and Frank Van Bogaert met, the Fish on Friday project sprung to life. You will be able to read the musical choices that were made and the story of the birth of the project in the 'bio' section of Fish on Friday.
