On the dark side of the mountain
Where the shadows seem to shine
The ice melts very slowly leaving
Time to stand and look inside
Crawling back through one's own past
Reawaking dreams to smash
Never needed them much anyway
Present day has had its way

Not so bad when viewed from the sea
Always there backing up the light
