Karisma Records are set to release the five classic albums from Alternative Rockers SEIGMEN, who this week will be celebrating their 30th Anniversary by playing four special one-off concerts at Bergen’s legendary Hulen venue.
The five albums in question – “Pluto” (1992), “Ameneon” (1993), “Total” (1994), “Metropolis” (1995) and “Radiowaves” (1997), have been remastered, and will appear in vinyl and CD formats, with “Total”, “Metropolis” and “Radiowaves” having been expanded to double LP versions containing bonus tracks of selected B-sides.
It will be the first time that any of the albums have be released on vinyl, and a very limited edition collectors vinyl box set will also be available, which will contain bonus material. More information about the releases will be announced during the Summer.
Hulen, Northern Europe’s oldest rock venue, is itself celebrating its 50th anniversary, so it is fitting that it should host these very special SEIGMEN concerts, which will replicate four different concerts from the ’90s.
The concerts taking place are as follows:
Wed 29 May: “Ameneon” release concert of April 1993 Thu 30 May: “Total” release concert of October 1994 Fri 31 May: “Metropolis” release concert of October 1995 Sat 01 June: “Radiowaves” release concert of September 1997
“Citizen: In The Next Life” is Billy Sherwood’s second release in the Citizen series, which follows the concept that he started with the “Citizen” album released in November 2015. The songs describe the individual experiences in a journey through time and space of a character, “The Citizen” through his own eyes: from an appearance in the Berlin bunker as Adolf Hitler in the final days of WWII to the Impressionist painter Monet, then as Stephen Hawking exploring the depths of the mind and the universe, Wyatt Earp, the legendary sheriff of Tombstone, Christopher Columbus, Romeo Montecchi and Mata Hari, among other real and fictitious characters.
On first single “The Partisan” and other songs on the album, Sherwood says, “the song is about Adolf Hitler and follows his rise to power and eventual fall. “Sophia” is about the first ever A.I. to be formally recognized and declared a citizen of a nation, Saudi Arabia. The song explores the notion that perhaps this isn’t such a great idea and “just because we can does not mean that we should”. “Monet” finds the citizen as the famous impressionist painter and expresses the beauty within the paintings themselves, “painting for all our eyes”. “We Shall Ride Again” has the citizen as the famous lawman Wyatt Earp as he takes care of business, along with his brothers Virgil, Morgan, and comrade Doc Holiday. “By Design” is a song where the soul of the main character is Romeo, expressing his love for his Juliet. “Mata Hari” is about the infamous spy who used her seductive ways to get vital information to the governments she worked for. The double agent would eventually find herself in front of a firing squad after being found out.”
For the first album in the Citizen series, Billy amassed an impressive list of guests, including the last recorded performance of original YES bass player Chris Squire, this time he wanted and managed to work on the concept on his own. The result is another splendid ride in human history, with an exceptional storyteller like Billy who is bringing us on a fascinating musical ride through the centuries. The album also includes an impersonation of the character “The Citizen” as Chris Squire. “Amazing Grace” is a famous bass solo that Chris used to do on stage and so it seemed a fitting tribute to him.
“I’m looking forward to this record coming out and having people take these jumps through time. The citizen is your guide and there are many interesting places this lost soul appears. I think of it as a sort of movie for your ears. I recommend a good set of headphones and let the stories take you on a journey,” continues Sherwood.
Billy Sherwood is a current member of YES, handpicked by original founding member Chris Squire, before his untimely death in June 2015, to fill in for him. Billy was also asked by legendary progressive icon John Wetton to replace him in ASIA. Billy started his career in the band Lodgic and then World Trade, with whom he released two albums. He joined YES for the first time as touring member on the “Talk” tour in 1994, before becoming a full-time member from 1997 to 1999. He also recorded two albums with Chris Squire on the “Conspiracy” project and released six albums with CIRCA, the band he formed with another former YES member, Tony Kaye.
The first single “The Partisan” is available now.

Melodic Revolution Records and Wings of Destiny are thrilled to announce that the highly anticipated new concept album Revelations will officially be released worldwide via all Digital platforms on June 7th
This will be Wings of Destiny’s 4thfull length album, the new production features the participation of x – Mayan and current Firewind vocalist Henning Basse (Germany), ex-Helloween and leader of Masterplan the extraordinary guitarist Roland Grapow (Germany & Czech Republic), in addition, virtuoso keyboardist & guitarist Bob Katsionis (Greece) of Firewind & Outloud performs on the release.
All the songs of the album is interconnected in a single story about a young man who dives into an incredible vision, being his dark inner journey, in which he must face the demons and save the world, sacrificing his own life, in the event described as ” Revelations “, facing the supreme evil, represented by an entity called ” Chaos “.
During this incredible story, the young man, with the help of the guardian angels, who accompany him in the battle that occurs inside him, delivers his life and his body, being possessed, in order to destroy the immortal enemy of humanity… will the story continue?… you will know when listening to the full album, this is a true fantasy story that is developed through the songs.
“It was decided to take it to another level with this one, adding a lot of musical styles, memorable melodies, orchestration, ripping solos and vocals. Also, the lyric content was profound, there are references to Lord Byron “My Soul is Dark” poem in the song “Lost in the Dark” and Robert Louis Stevenson “Requiem” poem in the song “Requiem.”
Each song on the album stands on its own, but it should be taken as a whole conceptual work. International artists such as Roland Grapow, Bob Katsionis, and Henning Basse certainly gave it additional artistic punch and spin. There is also one completely acapella piece “Divine?” that is a prelude to the song “Rising Chaos” that includes a completely new element to the band`s sound showing the versatility of what can be done without instruments whatsoever. It can be considered as our most ambitious and complex work so far.”, says Anton Darusso, leading man, composer, and producer of the band.

Melodic Revolution Records and Blå Lotus are thrilled to announce that Högtidwill be officiallyreleased worldwide digitally on June 21st, Summer Solstice
Fredrik Andersson tells us about the new album. So, this is our sophomore effort, consisting of songs put together during late 2017 and on through 2018. As usual, I had written and prepared them beforehand and presented them to the rest of the band through rough demos, albeit striving to leave enough space for the others to leave their own mark on them and by months of rehearsal and occasional live performances, we eventually had fine-tuned them to the degree that we could lay them down the basics during the hot sizzling summer of 2018. The remainder of the overdubs (that is, Farfisa, Mellotron, Pianet, synthesizer and vocals, all weighing heavy on my shoulders) did suffer a bit due to procrastination (the whip apparently didn’t crack hard enough) and me ending up in hospital due to an intestinal inflammation towards the end of the year. I got better though, not least through the spiritual support of my fellow bandmates and eventually we could present the finished product to our main man Nick who instantly approved.
We agreed upon dubbing it “Högtid”, approximately the Swedish word for feast, or rather celebratory season (i.e. Christmas, Easter, Midsummer and so on), sort of hinting at the superficial theme of the two main tracks ‘Pagan Solstice’ and ‘Summer Demons’ and maybe also the inclusion of our momentary rendition of an old Swedish marching tune (‘Gånglåt’). Despite this, it’s not a concept album, no overarching theme or grandiose convolution, no siree Bob! They just happened to be the songs we decided upon rehearsing during this last year-and-a-half. You could say though, that there is a common theme between the two aforementioned main songs in that they both deal with the expectations laid upon oneself and the urge to get away from them; one more in the external side of things (‘Pagan’) and one the internal (‘Summer’). ‘Pagan’ was actually a leftover song from my previous band (as was ‘Unreal Estate’) in which I played the guitar and thus these were written accordingly so I had to find a way to present them on the Hammond but eventually they proved to be more in tune with the Lotus spirit anyway.
‘Summer’ on the other hand began its life as an unassuming, Neil Young-esque folk song, amounting to probably no more than a couple of minutes in all, but demonstrably ended up being the longest track on this record. The mopey lyrics should probably not be interpreted too deeply by a suicidal person though. Then we have the most optimistic track on the album, ‘While You Were Asleep’, a psychedelic ode to the divison of labour and the fact that despite what all the fearmongers tell us, overall the world is a better place at this very moment than ever before throughout history and that it will be ever so slightly better tomorrow, so stop whining and dig into the fact that this is more a showcase of the Farfisa rather than the Hammond. A bit of variation thrown in for good measure. And finally ‘Rats’n Brats’ is just a piece of vintage heavy rock’n roll; a good excuse for letting our hair down and maxing out the fuzz boxes toward the end.
And there you have it. We hope you will enjoy the fruits of our labour as much as we have enjoyed perfecting it during this period. It’s just a pity that we can’t really put into words the exact anglo-saxon depiction of its name. Guess that’s why we insist on inserting all these norse umlaut-laden words everywhere.

Artist: Blå Lotus Formed during the fall of 2016, Blå Lotus was basically three guys with a vision of making heavy prog rock without the aid of a guitar. Heavily influenced by old school progressive acts of yore, they immediately set out to create a fulfilling soundscape equipped with just bass, drums and Hammond organ and a vast array of lengthy jam-based compositions interspersed with heavy stoner-like riffs.
Band Members Fredrik Andersson: Hammond and Farfisa Organ, Mellotron, Synthesizer, Electric Piano, Flute & Vocals Linus Karlsson: Bass Guitar, Theremin & Random Sound Effects Wiktor Nydén: Drums & Percussion

What the critics have said about their debut Tube Alloys
This is a great album, and it is incredible to think that they came together in Autumn of 2016, and recorded this album in April the following year, as they sound as if they have been bouncing ideas off each other for years. If you have ever enjoyed the sound of a Hammond Organ in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing, then this is essential. ★★★★ 4/5 Kev Rowland – Power of Prog
Wow! This new Swedish heavy prog rock band just totally blew me away. It’s clear these guys are totally enjoying themselves. That “no guitar” policy only proves, as Quatermass or Rare Bird (their first two albums only) had proved all those years ago, that great music can be had without a guitar. Blå Lotus is simply the new generation of it. Really worth it. ★★★★ 4/5 Progfan97402 – Prog Archives
The sound is really cool and I like this album a lot. In this case, we are talking old-style 1970s heavy prog and symphonic prog. There is even some John Lord’s Deep Purple like keys and music here. The Hammond organ sends warm shivers down my spine and gives me a silly grin. 3.5/5 points by Torodd Fuglesteg – Sound Of Fighting Cats
