Kinetic Element Announce New Guitarist

OK, friends and fans of KE, we are thrilled to announce that the brilliant Peter Matuchniak of the Gekko Project, the Steppes and, his new group Bomber Goggles has consented to be the guitarist on the new CD we are building these days, and join Kinetic Element.

Peter was recommended to us by several of our fans when Todd Russell decided to discontinue his association with us after nine years and three festivals. We were contacted by seven world-class guitarists, but when we got about ten suggestions to contact Peter, I did so, and we have hit it off very well.

Peter has completed replacing Todd’s guitar work on the last epic we finished called All Open Eyes. As great as Todd’s work is, Peter has exceeded it and the rest of us are just euphoric that he is going to be on the new CD. He is working on fixing a couple of parts and when I get the corrected and mixed file back from him I will post it so you can hear it.

We are hoping to get this record completed during 2018 so we will have it out there early in 2019. It appears Peter will be available to perform with us if we should be so fortunate as to land a festival date. Of course, he lives in California and we are 3000 miles away in Virginia. How we will play out in our own area remains to be seen.

St. John Coleman: Vocals
Mike Visaggio: Keyboards & Vocals
Mark Tupko: Bass
Michael Murray: Drums & Backing Vocals
Peter Matuchniak: Guitar

Please visit Peter at his https://www.facebook.com/petermatuchniak.music/ and help us extend a welcome into the KE universe to him.

We ask you to please share this around to any prog groups you frequent, or just share it out there in general.

In a Statement from Peter

Thank you, Mike and everyone at Kinetic Element. This is a real honour (and an honor) to play with you all. I love the music that is shaping up on this new album. Todd is a fantastic guitarist with big shoes to fill, but I relish the challenge the music and opportunity present. These guys are very classy and I appreciate the warm welcome.

About The Album

I started composing this album immediately after the release of Land of Blue Echoes, on March 2016. I was given a copy of “The death-defying unicorn” by Motorpsycho and I was pleasantly impressed. I was crazy about the use of the woodwinds on that record and I thought I wanted to write songs that could be arranged using them. So thanks to Ian Beabout, I met Dave Newhouse, a superfine musician. I sent him some tracks and after he recorded some arrangements on a couple of demos, I realized I had found a great musician, able to arrange to perfection, my ideas! I started thinking about the songs in a different way, trying to imagine them already with the woodwinds and so I started working with Dave at the end of spring 2017, after recording about 3 hours of demos. I then involved my friends and fantastic musicians, Peter Matuchniak and Jeff Mack, excellent guitarist and incredible bass player. And finally an Italian musician, drummer Maurizio Antonini from Rome, able to add perfect rhythms to my songs. In the album there are also some guests like Luca Zabbini leader of the Barock Project on Hammond, Ian Beabout on the Flute, Michael Zentner on the Violin and Nadav Yitzhak on the introduction of the album, playing the Oud.

The album is about revolution, about searching for oneself, about metaphysical travel, about memories, about love and suffering. It talks about life, of how we live this Era. It tries to push us in search of ourselves, finding the best of us after having passed from the worst of us.

It’s a journey into my life. It is passion. It is a desire for redemption. It is a dream and a reality.
I have put all of myself into this production and I hope it will touch your hearts.
You just have to add yourself to the Wandering Caravan!”
Peace, Love & Light

Transport Aerian The Making of The Abstract Symphony

Theriantrhope is the new album by Transport Aerian releasing in September 2017. The abstract Symphony is a set of songs and instrumental pieces woven into the tapestry of the album and was composed by blind improvisation by a team of seasoned and creative musicians. None of the musicians involved in this project knew what the other would play, as they were only given the similar theme descriptions and photographs to emphasize the visual representation of the sounds.

This experimental approach is manifest modernity of the age of the information field, which contains similar artistic concepts and thus allows any music to be created out of an idea, without other forms of direct physical or intellectual interaction. This musical experiment was an essential part to the conception of the new album.

Abstract Symphony Experiment Participants:
Marco Ragni: Keyboards, Slide Guitar, Acoustic Guitar
Stefan Boeykens: Acoustic Guitars
Peter Matuchniak: Acoustic Guitars , Electric Guitars & Soundscapes
Darren Brush: Chapman Stick
Elvya: Hammered: Dulcimer
Hamlet: Bass Guitar, Drums and Percussion’s

Transport Aerian has tapped into our current way of gathering, digesting and disseminating information through his experiment with the musician participants. Now comes the examination of the work, to create a vision means that you wish to share it, so as part of sharing of this work

The Topic Themes:
Modern Information Space – Abstract Symphony I: Information Space
Strongest Emotion – Abstract Symphony II: Saturate
Whore – Abstract Symphony III: Lovemeat
Pop music – Abstract Symphony IV: poor things need (a common interest)
God – Abstract Symphony V: Immortals

Transport Aerian asks you to reflect on the topic themes above and share your thoughts on:

1. What are your personal perceptions when you read the topic themes and how do you relate to them?
2. What metaphors would you use to describe the Topic Themes?

About Transport Aerian

Transport Aerian is essentially a one man progressive-oriented project led by a producer and multi-instrumentalist Hamlet. It sets no strict genre borders, knows no musical or spiritual limits. At the different times, the project had been working with different musicians, always changing and shifting its live and studio experiences depending on what the current creative state demands, performing drastically different kinds of music, yet always staying in the shape of poetic, sharp-edged artistic kind.

The project’s philosophy is closest to those, calling themselves expressionists in poetry and fine arts, therefore, the inner side of the emotional expression is what Hamlet intends to bring through project’s music to whoever who is willing to hear the word said.
