October 28th 2023 Melodic Revolution is beyond ecstatic to introduce you to Emerald City Council, one of the finest new progressive rock outfits. Emerald City Council is an American progressive rock band that was formed in 2021 out of a recording project written and produced by saxophonist/keyboardist Brent Bristow.
About The Album: The debut album, Motion Carries, will be released in early 2024 on CD, Limited Edition Transparent Green Double LP, and Digital, as well as streaming on all popular channels. The debut clocks in at just over an hour and boasts nine original tracks. The music is nothing short of sublime, and I always feel uncomfortable to compare a band’s music. That said, this band will appeal to fans of Able Ganz, Flying Colors, Kansas, Seven Steps to the Green Door, Proto-Kaw, Native Window, Alan Parsons Project, Transatlantic, and Fish On Friday. – Nick Katona President of Melodic Revolution
About Emerald City Council: The band features vocalist Jake Livgren (Proto-Kaw, Kerry Livgren), drummer Noah Hungate (The Band Perry, son of Toto’s David Hungate), Jeremy Nichols (Erin Coburn) on bass, up-and-coming guitarist Seth Hankerson, and saxophonist/keyboardist Brent Bristow (Professor of Music at Arkansas State University-Beebe). Brandon Goff, Associate Professor of Music Industry at Francis Marion University, has also contributed significant guitar work as a special collaborator to the band.
The album includes several guest appearances, including guitar solos from Paul Bielatowicz (Carl Palmer, Neal Morse), and Mike Thompson (The Sons of Kirk), plus contributions from actors Jeffery Combs (Star Trek, Re-Animator) and Steve Rankin (Star Trek, X-Files).
Multi-Grammy/Emmy-winning engineer and producer Jamie Tate, an important member of the ECC team, mixed and mastered the material at the Rukkus Room Studio in Nashville. Artist Thomas Ewerhard provided the cover artwork that perfectly captures the spirit of the music.
From a statement from the band: “On behalf of the Council, we are honored and excited to join the Melodic Revolution Records family. We are impressed by the MRR team’s enthusiasm for our music, and we are confident this partnership will help get our music to the right audience.”
Emerald City Council are: Jake Livgren-lead and backing vocals, keyboard Noah Hungate-drums Jeremy Nichols-bass Seth Hankerson-guitar Brent Bristow-saxophones, keyboards, recorder, guitar, vocals
Melodic Revolution is thrilled to announce that Tracks in Space the 5-track second solo effort debut album by Colin Carter is now officially available to purchase and stream worldwide.
“This new CD is more polished and focused than the “Colin Carter-One” recording, and if the songs have one thing in common through each of them, it’s a constant pulse. A dance beat! So, prepare to get those feet moving and hips swaying! “ – Colin Carter
“For the “Tracks In Space” project, Colin had been working long distance with Los Angeles guitarist and session player, George Keller. The album was begun during lockdown, so travel was limited and the two worked extensively online. The two clicked musically and the result is quite impressive.”

Joe says, the song always spoke to him with its simple lyrics and dramatic theme. Co-written by Robert Fripp, Bill Bruford, Tony Levin, and Adrian Belew, whose voice, Joe says, “is right in my range and we’ve been playing this live a lot. I also thought I’d inject it with a lot of staccato violins to give it more of an edge and put my own spin on it.”
A studio version will appear on Joe’s upcoming album, “Imposter,” slated for late spring 2024 on Melodic Revolution Records.
“Frame by Frame” appears on the boxset (2 CDs/DVD/Blu-Ray) “Behind the Curtain (Live at ProgStock)” on Melodic Revolution Records/Amplified Distribution. The box set is three years in the making; the collection is made up of Joe Deninzon & Stratospheerius’ 2019 and 2021 live performances at the ultimate Northeast progressive rock festival, ProgStock.

Sister May is an exciting Progressive Industrial band from Belgium, with a strong influence from the 80s and 90s industrial music scene. Their upcoming first full album, set to be released on vinyl by Lay Bare Recordings on September 29, 2023, iS a highly anticipated release for fans of this genre.
The band’s musical style is described as a blend of provocative sounds, alternative rhythms, and mechanical noise, all presented with a modern production touch. This fusion of elements create an Industrial Punk vibe, characterized by edgy and genuine sounds that aim to offer a unique listening experience.
The preproduction is handled by Matt McJunkins, who is a member of bands like A Perfect Circle and Puscifer. This is a level of expertise and experience in shaping the project’s sound.
The production of “Undecided Behaviour” is managed by Filip De Bot, known for his work at Penthouse Studio. For Fans of A Perfect Circle – Nine Inch Nails – Puscifer
Label: Independent Release (the CD) and Lay Bare Recordings(the vinyl)
In a live setting, Sister May apparently knows how to create an intense atmosphere, weaving together noise-tinged ambient elements with infectious hooks. With a history of 130 shows across Europe in the past 5 years, it’s evident that they have built a substantial presence in the live music scene.
Fans of industrial music and those looking for a fresh and unconventional musical experience might find Sister May’s work intriguing. The combination of their influences, unique sound, and energetic live performances could make them stand out in the modern music landscape.
The release of this album on September 29, 2023, at De Kreun Kortrijk/Wilde Westen We have already sold 200 tickets for the release, which indicates a strong level of interest and anticipation from our audience.
Ou album will be available on both vinyl and CD formats which we’re providing options for fans who prefer different ways of experiencing our music.
We’re well on our way to making a significant impact with our music project. The combination of a live release event, strong ticket sales, and physical album formats bodes well for the success of our album launch.
