From 2002 to 2015, NEMO have been one of the leading Prog Rock bands in France. In 15 years of existence they conquered the world community of Prog lovers with their nine studio albums.
Supported by the international progressive press, self distributed worldwide with internet networks and a high-performance webshop (www.quadrifonic.com), the band has been booked by big festivals in Europe and in the USA.
Nemo has in particular shared the stage with: Focus, Adagio, The Flower Kings, 3, Anglagard, Galahad, Carptree, Pat McManus band, Fish, Vanden Plas, Saga…
In 2015, after the extremely well received album “Coma”, they decided to take a break of indefinite duration. This new recording of their debut album is not a comeback, but a way to thank the fans and to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the record.
New totally re-recorded version of NEMO’s first album, by the band’s most classic lineup (Jean Baptiste Itier, Lionel B. Guichard, Guillaume Fontaine and JP Louveton). The band, in a prolonged dormancy since 2015, recorded from a distance, and the result gives a huge added value to these tracks that have not aged a bit.
“We are going to tell you a story, an extraordinary story. A story of exploits and discoveries. A story of challenges and progress. We are going to tell you the story of these men who moved the world forward, who pushed back the barriers of the impossible. In these stories, the visionary spirit is at the service of the imagination, and the imagination is an accomplice of progress. The characters we’re about to show you, straight out of fiction, have ignited science and reformed the world…”

Canada’s Hunting Giants are proud to announce their new record “Mythos”, a progressive, high-caliber album that will grab listeners and amaze them with intricate woven stories, energetic riffs, and distinctive vocals. Their first presentation from the new offering will be the single “Ancient Text” and its music video.
The single is a story about a doomsday prophecy from a long-forgotten culture. While lyrically referencing both archaeological discoveries as well as age-old myths, the listener gets to experience how a shaman from the distant past might interpret a meteor shower that destroys his tribe. The band explains further:
“Ancient Text weaves an auditory puzzle in the ear of the listener while it tells the tale. It was inspired by the Taurid meteor stream, a stretch of space densely packed with astral debris which the Earth passes through twice a year, as well as the unknown catalyst which initiated the previous ice age 12,500 years ago. This adrenaline-pumping track plays host to a soft and sensual breakdown where our shamanic protagonist bears witness to the coming end of days.”
Referencing both scientific discovery and age-old myth, “Ancient Text” is a wild ride that maintains engagement and leaves one breathless. Full of tension, and raging riffs, Hunting Giants ends the song with a rhythmic labyrinth of guitar, bass, and percussion framing the climax of their tale.
Hunting Giants is confident that new listeners, as well as those familiar with them through their previous release “Skyward Eyes”, will find an accomplished intensity and listenability in “Mythos”,which represents their musical growth and evolution. Each of the thirteen songs was specially picked for the album to contribute to the overarching story in a theatrical and energetic manner.
With riffs that will inspire and lyrics that will mystify, Hunting Giants is recommended for those who enjoy a 90s vibe and progressive elements, especially fans of Alice In Chains, Soundgarden and Audioslave.
The music video for the first single “Ancient Text” can be seen and heard via its premiere on Spaceuntravel at https://youtu.be/NkEQ6m8bzx4
Hunting Giants was started in 2017 with Bradley Trivett assembling the first musical themes and combining the percussive expertise of Daniel Beavington with the explosive rhythmic prowess of Corey J. Wharton into the foundation of a team set to discover and dominate the most enormous sounds and daunting massive ideas they could find. Led by the visionary passion and styling of frontman Stephen Atkey, Hunting Giants is poised to deliver an incredible auditory and visual experience.

3. “That Song About the Midway” – a semi-acoustic version of Joni Mitchell’s beautiful song from her 1969 album, “Clouds.” (Dyanne first heard the song at age 16, right after joining her first professional band, and has loved the song since)

About Steve Hackett
Steve Hackett joined Genesis at the beginning of 1971 and gained an international reputation as the guitarist in the bands classic line-up alongside Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford and Phil Collins. Hacketts intricate guitar work was a key element of Genesis albums from Nursery Cryme (1971) to Wind And Wuthering (1977) including the classic Selling England By The Pound.
After leaving Genesis at the end of 1977, Hacketts solo career, which now spans more than 30 albums, has demonstrated his extraordinary versatility with both electric and acoustic guitar. Hackett is renowned as both an immensely talented and innovative rock musician and a virtuoso classical guitarist and composer and this was recognised in 2010 when he was inducted into the Rock Hall Of Fame. He has also worked alongside Steve Howe of YES in the supergroup GTR.
Hacketts compositions take influences from many genres, including jazz, classical and blues. For his later studio works The Night Siren (2017) and At The Edge Of Light (2019) Hackett has explored the influences of world music. Recent tours have seen Hackett celebrate his time with Genesis including a spectacular 2018 tour in which he realised a long-held ambition to perform the works of Genesis live with his band and an orchestra.
The lockdown enforced by the 2020 global pandemic has proven to be a particularly creative period for Hackett. He began by releasing Selling England by the Pound & Spectral Mornings: Live at Hammersmith, a live recording of 2019s hugely successful tour celebrating that Genesis classic together with the 40th anniversary of one of his most-loved solo albums. Lockdown also gave Hackett the opportunity to write and record two new studio albums, the UK Classical Chart hit Under A Mediterranean Sky and the forthcoming Surrender of Silence.
Dutch progressive rock band For Absent Friends have reunited after a hiatus of more than 10 years. They will release their new studio album Disappear on 29 September 2022.
For Absent Friends were originally formed in 1986 and released 6 studio albums between 1990 and 2006. They have been regarded – both by fans as media – as one of the best progressive rock bands from the Netherlands during the period.
After the band disbanded Ed, Edwin & Hans joined the Genesis tribute band Squonk together with two new Friends Clemens & Jan. During the rehearsals for these shows their love of progressive rock music was revived: “…it was a blast and a learning bonanza!…” Not soon after new original material started popping up during rehearsals. This culminated in releasing one new track The Poet under the moniker of SQ1.
The COVID period was a blessing in disguise for the band. What else to do than write and record new music, albeit with the challenges caused by the pandemic. But musically speaking it was magic, as is the result. However, it didn’t feel good to release the music under the name SQ1. “…We know we said goodbye to For Absent Friends. But it’s time to say hello again to old and new friends…”
The seventh studio album of the band is entitled Disappear and will be released on CD, vinyl and on all digital platforms via FREIA Music on 29th September 2022. The album will be presented at Poppodium De Boerderij in Zoetermeer where the band will perform – as special guests of Von Herzen Brothers – the album for the first time live. Tickets are already available here.
For Absent Friends are: Edwin Roes – guitars, keyboards Hans van Lint – vocals, piano, keyboards Ed Wernke – drums & percussion Clemens Steenweg – piano, keyboards, organ, backing vocals Jan Nieuwenhuis – bass guitars, bass pedal, backing vocals
