The Minstrel’s Ghost is adding a new member to the round table family. Melanie Woginiack Shiffman is taking her seat as the new Promotional, Marketing and Booking manager. Melanie is the founder and director of The Spectrum of Volusia County, an online support and resource group for families of children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders and related disabilities. Melanie was the North American promotional manager of the popular Australian Progressive Rock Band Unitopia. She is still involved with them today in a promotional capacity. In 2011 Melanie left the band to concentrate on raising her young family and to work full time as Autism Coordinator at the non-profit organization Easter Seals. In January 2013 she decided to re-enter the music world and took on Marketing and Promotions management responsibilities for our good friends, UK band Halo. Melanie was also recently approached by House Of Prog radio to produce her own show.
“I met Melanie in mid November 2012.” said Blake Carpenter, founder and lead singer of The Minstrel’s Ghost; “She is a big fan and supporter of artist Ed Unitsky who did the artwork for our CD. She would comment on every post made on facebook regarding the album and I could not ignore that. Once we became friends I notice how much support she gives to music and started realizing that she could help us in our endeavors on a more personal front. Once I saw that she joined our friends Halo as Manger I asked Melanie if she wanted to take on another act and that was it. She is now sitting at the head of the round table, wait, can you do that? Well, you know what I mean. Now that the live band is formed for The Road To Avalon look for us soon at a festival near you and be informed, the Knights of Camelot now have a mum, she will be contacting you soon.”
