Well I am back from Rosfest 2013 in Gettysburg, PA, this year like in previous years was simply amazing. It was great to meet so many new people from all over the world and hang out with old friends as well as prog royalty. George Roldan, Krista Phillips, Rob Rutz and the rest of the staff are the best thank you for putting on an amazing event.
Three of my artists were on hand over the weekend doing meet and greets. On Friday May 3rd Cary Clouser was in the house to enjoy the festivities and meet fans of his great music. Sunday May 5th Phil Naro was in the house promoting the new DDrive album Critical Mass album as well as the debut Druckfarben album and on Friday, Saturday & Sunday Blake Carpenter was on hand promoting his two projects, The Minstrel’s Ghost – Road to Avalon and the self titled Corvus Stone release.
On Friday we signed a contract with Mike Visaggio of Kinetic Element for the upcoming Kinetic Element album, this has been in the works for over a year. We made a formal announcement at the after show party on Saturday. Melodic Revolution Records had a nice booth/table full of swag, a Limited Edition 2013 Passage to Music II Download Card which contained over 3 hours of music by 33 bands and or solo artists as well as loads of great prog CD’s not only by bands on our label but by many of the bands we work with via distribution.
Kudos to all the bands that came from all over the world to perform at this year’s RoSfest as the festival celebrated its tenth anniversary. Roine Stolt was sick and other than him sitting in a chair so he wouldn’t pass out played as if nothing was wrong also Daniel Gildenlöw of Pain of Salvation was sick and again you never would have known, now that is what I would call professionalism. Highlights were many and I would recommend seeing any if not all of these great bands if you get the chance.
Show your support by attending a show, and or purchasing music and swag. Will be posting loads of picks soon stay tuned. Next year’s festival is only 300+ days away…

OFFICIAL ‘Seashore Dreams’ video from FACTORY OF DREAMS – album Some Kind of Poetic Destruction (HD) – Listen and Watch it LOUD!
http://youtu.be/xL4wF1YqZEI
After a long journey, Kyra sees the seashore ahead. She lays down on the sand, falls deeply asleep and dreams of Earth’s invasion and the secrets soon to unfold. Within the dream, Kyra stands inside a strange and eery house close to the seashore. The ocean shows her images of the hidden Star now closing-in on the planet and images of a Metropolis being engulfed by rays of soundwaves. The answer to Earth’s Fate is being revealed through ‘Seashore Dreams’!!
‘Time is no more
As I see the Future
From the Seashore’
