TEN are proud to announce that they will be appearing on next year’s Frontiers Rock Festival, which takes place on Saturday the 27th and Sunday the 28th of April 2019.
Frontiers Rock Festival, which was established by Frontiers Records in 2014, is the quintessential Melodic Rock/Hard Rock Festival in Europe and takes place every year at the “Live Music Club”, in Trezzo Sull’Adda, in Milan, Italy. The band will be appearing alongside Alan Parsons, The Defiants, Hardline, Jeff Scott Soto, Airrace and Creye – on the first day of the Festival – on Saturday the 27th of April, 2019.

I must confess not to have heard a version of “Watchtower” quite like this before, as it has been deconstructed yet still contains plenty of guitars. It is as if Hendrix never existed, and someone took Dylan’s classic as a base and wondered just what they could do to it yet still keep t recognizable. Spoken words, excerpts, layers of mellotron, treated vocals, acoustic guitar, seagulls, it’s all in there and certainly the song to a totally different level. It is incredibly weird, and brilliant at the same time. “The Doors of Perception” is a new song, which allows Nick to show just how psychedelia can be brought into the modern age.
The video was produced by La Koloc Production and stars our new fictional character: “Arion Superstar“.
Statement from Franck:
“I’ve always loved and been inspired by Greek mythology. You might remember my first album opens with “Achilles”. Some time ago, I discovered the myth of Arion. He was the first famous musician, playing his kithara, going on tour, getting kidnapped by pirates who robbed him and threw him out in the water, … and I thought, wow … this guy was actually the very first rock-star!
Then I had the idea of creating a modern version of this story, so I wrote a 15 minutes song called “SUPERSTAR” telling a similar story to the original but taking place today.
That’s how “Arion Superstar” was born.
Arion was born in Hollywood, he’s seen it all and done it all. He’s no longer enthusiastic about life and success because he’s already lived it all. But anyway, his story is told in that SUPERSTAR track and I started impersonating him on stage during this song.
Then I thought, this Arion is such a big rock star, he must have had a hit!
So I started to write a would-have-been hit single and that’s how “Slave to Rock ‘n’ Roll” was born. It’s more a classic-rock track than a prog epic but when we tried it live, everybody seemed to love it so we thought it would be a good idea to make a music video out of it.
Given the subject, we could use a lot of humor and self-derision, in the pure tradition of the 70’s classic rock hits. We had a great time shooting a funny video full of glam to go with it, and we now hope the viewers will be entertained” Watch it now

Esoteric Recordings is proud to announce the release of a new re-mastered four-disc deluxe expanded boxed set limited edition (comprising 3 CDs and a DVD) of SUNBURST FINISH the legendary 1976 album by BE-BOP DELUXE.
Recorded in the Autumn of 1975 at Abbey Road studios (with some sessions also taking place at AIR studios in London), SUNBURST FINISH was the third album by Be-Bop Deluxe and the first to feature the line-up of BILL NELSON (vocals, guitars, keyboards), CHARLIE TUMAHAI (bass, vocals), ANDY CLARK (keyboards) and SIMON FOX (drums). It was also the first BE-BOP DELUXE album to be co-produced by BILL NELSON and JOHN LECKIE. An album of immense musical inventiveness and creativity, SUNBURST FINISH was one of the finest albums of its era, a perfect cohesion of ten classic songs written by BILL NELSON (featuring his highly imaginative guitar playing) and a stylized and striking artwork package. Featuring such classic material as “Heavenly Homes”, “Crying to the Sky”, “Sleep that Burns”, “Life in the Air Age”, “Crystal Gazing” and “Blazing Apostles”, the album also spawned the hit single “Ships in the Night” and launched BE-BOP DELUXE as one of the major breakthrough acts of 1976.
This expanded reissue has been newly re-mastered from the original master tapes and features an additional 39 bonus tracks drawn from a stunning new 5.1 surround sound & stereo mixes from the original multi-track tapes by award winning engineer Stephen W. Tayler, previously unreleased out-takes from the album sessions, a BBC Radio “In Concert” performance from January 1976, a rare John Peel Show session from February 1976 (unavailable on CD for over twenty years), along with an unissued and previously unreleased 1976 Harvest Records promotional video for “Ships in the Night” and a session for BBC TV’s “Old Grey Whistle Test” show from January 1976.
Another highlight of this limited edition boxed set is the lavishly illustrated 68-page book with many previously unseen photographs and an essay of recollections by Bill Nelson. Additionally, the set includes a facsimile of the 1976 SUNBURST FINISH tour programme, postcards and a replica poster. This special deluxe limited edition boxed set of SUNBURST FINISH is a fitting tribute to a fine band, the creative vision of Bill Nelson and a wonderful album.
