It has been a decade since the release of Dimensionaut the critically-acclaimed debut album from Sound of Contact. Now, former SoC members Simon Collins and Kelly Nordstrom return with the new band eMolecule and the debut album The Architect which will be released on InsideOutMusic on February 10th, 2023.

Simon Collins on the new band and album: “During the creative process of making this record, I discovered an even deeper part of my creative self I never knew existed. This album is the sign of a creative force both Kelly and I have come to discover. For the first time throughout working together for 18 years, we are perfectly aligned. Working with Kelly on this project has produced some of the most meaningful music I’ve created, and I believe represents some of my life’s best work to date.”
Kelly Nordstrom had this to say: “Simon and I have been working together for almost 20 years. The personal connection between Simon and I is exemplified by the quality of songwriting on this album. The two long-time collaborators met in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in 2005 and have been working together ever since. Originally brought together to work on Simon’s solo career, the spark of creativity between Simon and Kelly was undeniable. They soon began writing original material together, much of which would end up on Dimensionaut.
With a successful progressive rock album under their belts, Simon and Kelly were determined to continue the work they started with Sound of Contact. During the UK production of Simon’s 4th solo album “Becoming Human”, Kelly recorded a demo of the song “eMolecule” in a flurry of inspiration. With this new offering, Simon and Kelly decided their way forward was as a duo and they would pool their best material under the name eMolecule.
In the summer of 2020, Emolecule decided it was time to begin work on their debut album and that it was to be a concept album. Meeting in person at Simon’s studio in Ireland, the duo spent a solid month writing the concept and music start to finish. Over the following months, they completed writing, producing and performing ‘The Architect’ both remotely and together in Ireland.
The Architect features intense, heavy guitar and drum performances as well as deep, atmospheric and emotionally driven arrangements. From start to finish, Emolecule’s first offering captivates the listener with infectious vocals, dynamic guitars and ultra-modern production from the epic opening track ‘eMolecule” to the powerful climax of the closing track “Moment of Truth”. This band and album are set to take the listener to another dimension.
Marillion, Steve Hackett, Flying Colors & Big Big Train headline the biggest prog cruise ever!
Cruise To The Edge, progressive rock’s largest festival at sea is set to return in 2024 with its biggest cruise ever! The 9th voyage of the prog festival at sea sails from Miami, Florida, March 8th – 13th, 2024, aboard the Norwegian Pearl visiting Ocho Rios, Jamaica and George Town, Grand Cayman.
Headlined by prog legends Marillion, Steve Hackett, Flying Colors and, for the first time, Big Big Train, the event features some of the world’s greatest prog-rock musical artists. The lineup includes returning acts Adrian Belew, Martin Baare, The Flower Kings, Haken, Protocol, Queensryche, PFM, Airbag, and Baraka, alongside cruise debuts by Gryphon, Lonely Robot, and legendary prog metal group Symphony X. More bands are expected to be announced in the coming months. The event is once again hosted by Jon Kirkman and Roie Avin.

Genre-merging AMBERIAN DAWN does not shy away from experimenting with musical styles and combining nostalgic earworms with their dashing trademark sound. With their newest single “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)” vocalist Capri’s angelic voice merges with electrifying soundscapes to transform this ABBA classic into a metal experience never heard before.
The track comes with an exciting lyric video and is cut from their upcoming covers album, bringing world-famous songs by the legendary ABBA into the metal world. ‘Take A Chance – A Metal Tribute to ABBA’ will be released on December 2, 2022, via Napalm Records. Following their passion, this album pays tribute to one of their biggest inspirations and ushers in the dawn of an entirely new spin on the metal genre.

“This was an easy and obvious pick for this album. The song is a true masterpiece. It was easy to arrange into a metal version. For a while, I considered replacing the famous keyboard lead intro with guitar, but quite soon I wanted to keep the lead part played with keyboards. It gives more ABBA feeling to the song. Capri sings amazingly, once again. And for the very first time, we had a chance for our bassist to play slap bass in the middle part of the song. It’s rarely heard in metal music.”

“This was a ‘must do album’ for me. We had so much fun in 2019 working on our first cover song ever (which was ABBA’s ‘Lay All Your Love On Me’), that it was easy to make a decision to continue with a full ABBA covers album. The songs have been carefully selected, there’s a couple of big hit songs of course, but some of my personal favorites, like ‘The Day Before You Came’, are also included. The recording project was eventually a really big challenge for all of us and needed a lot of work, but we’re all 100% satisfied with the results. This album really sounds like an AMBERIAN DAWN album.
Poland’s pioneering and leading Progressive Rock band RIVERSIDE finally returns with a new studio album entitled “ID.Entity”, to be released via longtime international partners InsideOutMusic on January 20th, 2023. “ID. Entity”, the group’s 8th studio album was recorded and mixed in two studios – The Boogie Town Studio in Otwock with Paweł Marciniak and in Serakos studio in Warsaw with Magda and Robert Srzedniccy -, mastered by Robert Szydło and produced by RIVERSIDE’s Mariusz Duda himself. The “ID.Entity” artwork (Front cover to be seen above!) was created by Polish artist Jarek Kubicki.

In times dominated by Big Techs, populists, conspiracy theories, hatred, and greedy corporations causing the planet and human nature to die at an accelerated speed. We live in times when one country can attack another out of the blue just because they think they are more deserving of something. These days it’s simply hard to sing only about love, friendship, and escapes into imaginary worlds. “I’m Done With You” is about anger and frustration!”
