Laura Meade of Prog Ensemble IZZ to Release New Solo Album The Most Dangerous Woman in America on May 21, 2021

Laura Meade’s new studio album, The Most Dangerous Woman in America, due on May 21, 2021 on Doone Records, marks Meade’s follow up to her solo debut, 2018’s Remedium and 2019’s Don’t Panic with New York progressive rock septet IZZ.

The Most Dangerous Woman in America, co-written with IZZ bandmate John Galgano between March and December of 2020, explores the story of a woman whose voice was silenced and whose story was all but forgotten by her own country.

“As we wrote the music and lyrics for this album, John and I realized that the concept and story that inspired us was not just the story of one woman, but also the story of all of those who stay true to themselves regardless of the cost,” says Meade.

“There have been so many people throughout history – many of them women – who stand up for themselves, stand up for what they believe in, and experience great pain and suffering for doing so, their memories and voices lost along the way to gossip and rumor. I hope that this album, in some small way, honors and gives voice to the forgotten.”

From the pulsing forward-momentum of “Leaving” to the majesty of “Iconoclast” to the mystery and passion of “Forgive Me,” The Most Dangerous Woman in America explores the sincerity, emotion, and authenticity that so often lie beyond the gossip and sensationalism of fame and celebrity.

“This album was written to honor the forgotten: those whose stories remain untold, whose lives have been neutralized by those with unchecked power,” says Meade.

Meade’s new album features the songs “Burned at the Stake” and the title track, both available on April 23, 2021 for purchase by pre-ordering the full album at izzmusic.bandcamp.com and for streaming on Spotify.

Meade is joined on the album by IZZ members Tom Galgano (Keyboards, Production), Brian Coralian (V-Drums), John Galgano (Bass).

Laura Meade’s The Most Dangerous Woman in America is available for pre-order now on the IZZ Bandcamp page: izzmusic.bandcamp.com (download) and will be available for streaming on all platforms on May 21, 2021. CD and Vinyl versions of the album are also available for pre-order now.

RoSFest Team Release Statement and Video For New Festival Dates

First, and foremost the RoSFest team would like to thank their supporters for being so patient in awaiting further announcements with regards to new festival dates. As fans and supporters of music and festivals; we tried and consider the impact of our decisions on fans and try to minimize any disruptions to the best of our ability while still maintaining the best overall experience. These considerations are what have guided the RoSFest Team in deciding to move the 2022 festival dates to make sure fans and supporters won’t have to miss out on any great music.

The new RoSFest dates have been chosen as not to conflict with the new dates of the Cruise to the Edge (CTTE). We have decided it was in everyone’s best interest to not share the same dates. The RoSFest Team wants to wish the organizers and CTTE team the best of luck on the new dates for the cruise. To that end, we have moved RoSFest 2022 from May 2022 to April 15-17, 2022.

We continue to work diligently behind the scenes to sign contracts with hotels to secure the best possible rates for your accommodations and organize the best event we can. We hope to make some of those announcements soon and we are sure you can’t wait to find out who will be on the big stage, you won’t be disappointed, so stay tuned.

Thank you for your patience and support, we cannot say that enough, but most of all we look forward to mingling with our friends and meeting our many new supporters.

Lots of ❤ John, Nick, Rebecca, Tony, Lisa & Octavia

Music Legends Procol Harum To Release New EP “Missing Persons”

Esoteric Antenna label is pleased to announce the release of a new CD EP by the legendary PROCOL HARUM.

“Missing Persons” was completed during lockdown, after founder and lead singer Gary Brooker rediscovered a CD of rough mixes of two studio tracks the band had laid down during a previous session. “They weren’t written last week, neither are they old” says Gary, but the precise date of the original recordings remains a mystery. With the world locked down Gary and the band revisited these tracks and they now proudly sit alongside the band’s venerable catalogue.

The title track “Missing Persons (Alive Forever)” is a particularly poignant and emotive song, and a fine example of the musical tradition of Procol Harum. Gary adds: “Keith Reid’s lyrics sound incredibly apt for the time we’re living in, this is the sound of Procol Harum today.” The EP’s other new song “War Is Not Healthy” is also a touching observation of war and its impact on humanity.

This is Procol Harum at their timeless best.

Procol Harum

Billie Bottle & The Multiple – The Other Place releases on 14th May

Bad Elephant Music is delighted to announce the release of The Other Place, the long-awaited second full-length album from English art-rock collective Billie Bottle & The Multiple, on 14th May 2021.

On Election Day 2015, a pint of milk mysteriously appears at the gates of Parliament.

Set in the week running up to a UK general election, The Other Place tells the true story of two musicians from Devon (Billie Bottle & Martine as seen on BBC’s The Voice) as they make their way slowly to Westminster.

On high streets, market squares and seafront promenades, they perform the same song, forty-nine times over, and at each stop they start conversations with whoever they meet, asking them “Who’s got the Power?”.

This journey through the foundations of British democracy inspired a sequence of songs whose lyrics come from the words of the voters (and non-voters) that Billie and Martine met on their journey. It is a celebration of gentler kinds of power and an invitation to make their voices heard.

Following on from their critically acclaimed album, Unrecorded Beam (the poetry of Thoreau), The Multiple features Martine WaltierRoz Harding and Billie Bottle, (all mainstays of Mike Westbrook’s Uncommon Orchestra) plus flautist Vivien Goodwin-Darke (from the psychedelic rock band, Magic Bus) and recording artist and producer Lee Fletcher (of Unsung Productions). Like the best art rock, they continue to combine folk, jazz, pop and minimalism in an engaging and meaningful way

Pre-orders for The Other Place – which will be available on CD and as a digital download – commence on 4th April 2021.
