Carmine, dUg, and Yngwie belong to an elite group of rock stars that the public recognizes on a first name basis, even though all 3 use their full names! And Guitar World is premiering Carmine & bandmate Kelly Keeling’s new song THIS TIME AROUND, which features performances by Yngwie Malmsteen and dUg Pinnick at this link: https://www.guitarworld.com/news/hear-this-time-around-a-new-track-from-carmine-appices-guitar-zeus.
THIS TIME AROUND is a triumphant song about someone having no choice but to confront a situation instead of letting it go. In going against the odds, the lyrics show why someone fights for what means the most to that person. The track came out great with the Rhythm section of Carmine rocking the drums, Kelly on rhythm guitar, and Tony Franklin playing fretless bass.
THIS TIME AROUND appears on Carmine’s “Guitar Zeus” album, which is “A guitar enthusiast’s dream come true!” It’s the only and most comprehensive guitar legend compilation album ever recorded, and includes: Brian May, Slash, Neil Schon, Bruce Kulick, Paul Gilbert, Dweezil Zappa, Leslie West, Steve Morse, Ty Tabor (Kings X), Richie Sambora… There are five brand new songs with Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, Pat Travers, John Norum, and top Japanese guitarists RaiZi and Char.
“Guitar Zeus” is now available on vinyl!
Other projects in Carmine’s world: recording new albums— DRUM WARS with brother Vinny Appice, and Cactus, who are planning shows everywhere. Carmine praises Clutch’s cover of Cactus’ “Evil (Is Going On).”
One thing he is not doing, is playing with Vinnie Vincent this June. Nor did he play with him in February. Carmine states: “To set the record straight, Vinnie canceled the shows.”
Pre-orders are now available HERE: http://radi.al/LiveOnDeathRoad Recorded at the Frontiers Rock Festival 2018, this performance was captured when JORN headlined the second night of the festival. Lande performed with a great band featuring long time members Tore More on guitar, Sid Ringsby on bass, producer/keyboardist Alessandro Del Vecchio, and not one, but two drummers: Beata Polak and Francesco Jovino (Primal Fear).
The tracklisting is certainly special and includes some timeless songs spanning the entire 20-year career of JORN. From “Sunset Station”, included on the “real” international debut “Worldchanger”, to absolute classics such as “Out to Every Nation,” “Stormcrow,” and “Lonely Are the Brave”. Some surprises are there too, such as “Walking on Water” from the Dracula Rock Opera and of course unmissable cover versions of “The Mob Rules” (Black Sabbath) and “Ride Like the Wind” (Christopher Cross).
All in all, this is another unmissable celebration of the talents of the Norwegian vocal god and a powerful testimony to a unique artist who offers an unbelievable live show here.
Available on 2CD/DVD, Blu-Ray, and Digital (audio only).

ARDOURS is a new alternative/gothic metal band formed by Tristania singer Mariangela Demurtas and multi-instrumentalist/producer Kris Laurent. The lineup on the album is rounded out by Mariangela’s fellow Tristania member Tarald Lie on drums, who also wrote the lyrics for the songs. The end result is an exciting and creative album with a fresh sound straddling the lines between rock, metal, and gothic atmospheres with prominent vocal melodies and hooks. In the words of singer Mariangela Demurtas, “[t]he album is a carousel of fatalism, confusion, insight, enlightenment, self-deception, bitterness, loss of faith, apathy, closure, and hope of a new dawn spinning relentlessly towards the looming contours of the end. Or the complete opposite. We definitely like to leave as much free interpretation as possible to the audience.”
About “Last Moment”, Mariangela says, “it is a song about approaching the end. It is actually an optimistic and positive song compared to some others on the album; however, focusing on the notion that something better than this world is waiting, so we can leave life with a radiant hope. In the video we wanted to show our identity in a way that the audience could see how we express ourselves lyrically and musically.”
Fans of The Gathering, Lacuna Coil, latter-era Tiamat, and newer artists like Idle Hands will find much to love hear and should keep their ears open for Ardours. Ardours have also announced that their first live show will take place on September 7th 2019 at La Cueva Rock in Quartucciu (Cagliari), Italy.

Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, the legendary Italian progressive rock band, recently announced the worldwide signing with Inside Out Music / Sony Music group. Their new record ‘Transiberiana’ will be the first studio album in 25 years and is scheduled to be released on May 10th, 2019.
Today the band are pleased to launch their new single ‘L’imprevisto’, and you can listen to it now here:
Vittorio Nocenzi statement : “At one point, the Siberian cold is so intense that the ice covers the entire track. So it becomes dangerous to move on, it could be derailed. And then the train stops, in the tundra desert. It’s cold and travelers start to be afraid. Lights can be seen outside, it could be a village. Then they start thinking about getting off the train to go and ask for help. The cold increases. xIt is the metaphor of the unpredictable things that change in the course of our existence, fear before what we know is always the first weapon of defense. Instead the unexpected can also give us unexpected positive surprises, if only we were more willing to face diversity, the unusual: any unexpected can build new discoveries and new certainties if we face it with courage and determination. The unexpected is just an opportunity to change. Don’t be afraid of the new road that opens up.
“Among the sounds that characterize this track in particular the “slide guitar” of Filippo, expresses all the yearning for regret that are in the fear that travelers face in front of – nothing that has drowned our days.”
Of the album and signing, founding member Vittorio Nocenzi states: “I’m happy after working such a long time on this new Banco del Mutuo Soccorso album for Inside Out. It fills me with joy and satisfaction as I was truly inspired from the very beginning! For too many years, the band was only dedicated to live performances, so it was about time we would go back to composing, playing and producing new stuff! By choosing the ‘Transiberiana’ concept for this new piece of work, there are two main issues I’d like to point out: first the new Banco line up consisting of great musicians and great people, secondly, the presence of my two sons in the project: Michelangelo co-writing the album and Mario Valerio, who took care of a marketing and communication strategy related to it. These two elements have been the best gifts I could possibly imagine to receive! And this is an extra motivation if ever needed to do my best for reaching our goals. I can only wish fans will enjoy this incredible project and look forward to see them live when we will go out to perform the album and classic Banco-tracks around the globe with Filippo Marcheggiani (lead guitar), Nicola Di Già (rhythm guitar), Fabio Moresco (drums), Marco Capozi (bass), our singer Tony D’Alessio and myself!”
The last Banco del Mutuo Soccorso album, ‘13’, was released back in 1994 and after all those years and the loss of two historical former members, the band is back to confirm its place in the international progressive music scene.
‘Transiberiana’ will be available as Limited Edition Mediabook CD with 44 page booklet, Gatefold 2LP + CD + LP Booklet, and as digital download. Pre-order now here: www.insideoutmusicshop.com

Banco del Mutuo Soccorso (which translates to “Bank of Mutual Relief”) were formed in Rome, Italy back in 1969 and under the influence of British greats Gentle Giant, Genesis, Jethro Tull and Emerson, Lake & Palmer forged a truly original sound equally complex, melodic and dynamic. In 2019, ‘Transiberiana’ will prove that this style is very much intact and creative mastermind Vittorio Nocenzi promises an “autobiographical journey” lyrically, musically and in terms of concept. ‘Transiberiana’ is not only an impressive new album by Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, but also reflects upon a storied career and redefines what the group is all about.
Banco del Mutuo Soccorso is: Vittorio Nocenzi (piano, keyboards and voice) Filippo Marcheggiani (guitar) Nicola Di Già (rhythm guitar) Marco Capozi (bass) Fabio Moresco (drums) Tony D’Alessio (lead vocal)
