Bibeau‘s new album self-titled debut arrives on March 23, 2018 via Fade to Silence Records.
To herald the release, the band has shared the new song/music video “Leeway”.
The video was directed by Justin Mosley at Dark Letter Entertainment. Justin, who directed the band’s first music video, “Mark This” as well as their lyric video “Phantom of the Opera”. Justin added, “Developing the narrative for the “Leeway” video presented a unique challenge. We wanted to demonstrate the emotional conflict conveyed in the song’s lyrics in a physical way, but in a way that featured the warring couple rather than some metaphorical subjects. We decided to create a scenario wherein the couple uses an isolated location and a variety of weapons to take turns purging their frustrations. The concept lent itself to some great aerial shots and visuals that marry well with the song. The whole thing was a great experience. It’s always a blast working with the guys in Bibeau.” He also wrote, produced and directed the film, “The Devil’s Deal”, which was recently released internationally through Lionsgate Films.
On the day after the album’s release, Bibeau is partnering with Rock Rage Radio and Fade to Silence Records to host a special hometown record release party at Click’s Live in Tyler, Texas. The event includes a special listening party, meet and greet/autograph signing and a live concert, which will be hosted by Rock Rage Radio’s James Gentry from “Soundcheck with Gentry” and Jess Rock Rage Rage from “The Sideshow”. Bibeau is set to return to the road in America again in late Spring.
Last year, Bibeau debuted the video for the track “Mark This”. The official music video for which has amassed nearly 200,000 views in a short period of time. “The quintet successfully blends the old and new school metal with a modern, progressive twist.” – Brave Words Bloody Knuckles declared. Horror Metal Sounds, adding, “Upon watching the video, I was blown away by how solid and memorable the song was. I was equally impressed that such a well-written song obviously inspired by classic prog rock and vintage metal roots could come out of such a young band. Thus Bibeau and their music became engrained in my consciousness – and I’ve had their single “Mark This”, and the striking imagery from the accompanying video, looping endlessly in my head ever since. Music Junkie Press offered this assessment of the track, “the time is now for Bibeau as they breathe a fresh new life into the somewhat stale progressive metal scene. According to vocalist Drew Theiring, “the lyrical content of “Leeway” comes from an emotional dark spot in someone’s life. There’s a light in the black emerging throughout the tune and, a festering of issues to the surface. Being lied to or taken advantage of is never pleasant nor is it always intended. There’s hope in the fact that life may award you leeway, even if it’s just enough to breathe.
The “Leeway” guitar melody line was written by guitarist/songwriter Robin Bibeau, who subsequently framed the song around what started out as a fingerpicking experiment. “I was playing around with some hybrid picking exercises on guitar, and it eventually developed into what would become the intro to “Leeway”. It was very organic and the intro was kind of like a seed that sprouted into the rest of the song.” added Robin Bibeau

Chilean Prog ensemble Aisles, South America’s most acclaimed prog band of the last 20 years, is releasing their “Live from Estudio del Sur” sessions. The first of four videos is for the song “Clouds Motion” from Aisles’ debut studio album, “The Yearning.” Says Aisles guitarist, Germán Vergara, “The reason why we chose to record ‘Clouds Motion’ is because, even though it’s one of our oldest tunes, to this day it still represents all of us and it is one of the favorite songs of the audience that has followed us from the beginning of our career.”
Director Bernardo Quesney, renowned for his work with Chilean rock and pop artists like Gepe and Javiera Mena adds: “I had never worked with a band so meticulous in the performance of their music. Their songs are a journey, as they are not just about seeing Aisles play, but there is an actual musical conversation and a challenge between the instruments.”

Quadrus Main Composer John Galanakis Releases Video ‘Destroyers Of The Worlds’
John Galanakis had this to say from his Facebook profile:

The story on this album takes place on the distant future were mankind is on the brink of destruction by some alien race who lives in a parallel universe. Humanity stands no chance of fighting the Xenos attackers and falls back deep into the core of Kepler 2.0 where it builds enormous galactic ships to fight back the destroyers of the worlds. Those ships are powered by powerful entities called “The heart of the ship” and they act both as a source power and adviser for repealing the alien attack. London, UK – Uriah Heep is pleased to announce the release of a 2CD/1DVD package of their 20th Anniversary show in 1989, which has only been available on VHS previously. This remastered release is now available on Download and as 2 CDs and 1 DVD in all new packaging.
This concert is likely to be the only gap in many committed fans’ collections and gives their core fanbase the opportunity to complete the entire Heep discography. This release is the culmination of a long process to make sure all of the Uriah Heep back catalog is available in modern-day formats and digitally.
The set also includes a bonus audio interview, recorded on the same day as the concert, which was previously only available on picture disc LP and CD for a very limited amount of time.
Of this release, Mick Box said “This is a great meeting of two products, which were always closely linked together, and are now merged into one definitive set. This is the second release on Uriah Heep Records and a great reminder of our 30th Anniversary celebrations!”
The band has also heard fans’ voices and released the first vinyl title on its own label, a picture disc LP called Selections from Totally Driven, which features the stunning artwork of Igor Morski.
The LP draws on tracks from the band’s own label’s first release, Totally Driven, which was a 2 CD collection of re-records of their greatest hits and continues to be available.

“When The City Sleeps” is the title of the new Kracked Earth single of an obscure B side by Barclay James Harvest for the single Breathless, which the band released under the pseudonym of Bombadil in 1972.
The song was performed by and credited to a certain Lester Forrest, who was, in fact, the band’s keyboard player, founding member, and vocalist Woolly Wolstenholme.
Largely overlooked compared to the band’s more popular catalog, the song evokes the feelings of someone for whom the darkness of the night provides an energy and freedom that his daytime city existence does not allow. (Well, that’s my take on it anyway!)
As a long time fan of the band and fellow Mellotron geek, it was suggested that the song was and is vastly under-rated and was deserving of an update and exposure to a wider audience.
Never one to resist a challenge, I got to work on the arrangement, which retains some of the features of the original, but I’ve given it my own spin, making the odd change here and there to the chord structure and instrumentation.
I wanted to keep the basics very simple, by using mainly piano, acoustic bass and of course Mellotron!
Above all else, I hope Woolly would be happy with my interpretation of his charming little ditty. Also, a big thank you to my Kracked Earth colleagues Don Schiff and Tim Lynk for their help bringing my ideas to reality.
