YES Announces Rescheduled Dates for Europe & UK for 2022

23rd March 2022: Due to COVID restrictions across Europe and for everyone’s safety we need to reschedule our forthcoming European & UK tour dates for 2022.

We have managed to reschedule shows in all cities apart from at the Rockhal in Luxembourg. Sadly, the Rockhal didn’t have available dates to accommodate the show so we are going to have to cancel it. We hope to be back in Luxembourg in the future. Tickets for all other shows remain valid for the new dates.

Geoff Downes says “We’re really looking forward to getting back onstage and performing for our fans. Relayer will be special.”
The tour line-up features Steve Howe (guitars), Alan White (drums), Geoff Downes (keyboards), Jon Davison (vocals), Billy Sherwood (bass guitar and backing vocals) and Jay Schellen (additional drums and percussion).

The show will comprise full production and a high-definition video wall. The show will include favourite classic tracks from YES’ extensive catalogue together with Relayer, the seventh studio album by YES, and one of the band’s most distinctive in full. Relayer marked a slight change in direction as Patrick Moraz replaced Rick Wakeman on keyboards bringing an edgier, avant-garde feel to the album. This was perfect for the opening track Gates Of Delirium, almost 22 minutes in length, with its battle scene featuring the keyboard of Moraz and Steve.

Roger Dean will be directing the production and joining the tour with an exhibition of YES related art.

About YES

Steve Howe: guitars, backing vocals (1970 –1981, 1990–1992, 1995–present)Alan White: drums, percussion (1972 – present)Geoff Downes: keyboards (1980–1981, 2011–present) Jon Davison: lead vocals, acoustic guitar (2012–present) Billy Sherwood: guitar, backing vocals ((1994, 1997–2000), bass guitar, backing vocals (2015–present)

Formed in 1968 by Jon Anderson and the late, and much-missed, Chris Squire, YES have been one of the most innovative, influential and best-loved bands in rock music history. Their 1970s albums The Yes Album, Fragile, Close To The Edge, Yessongs (a triple live album set), Tales From Topographic Oceans, Relayer and Going For The One were ground-breaking in musical style and content. Their music also became synonymous with artist Roger Dean whose distinctive YES logo design and artwork adorned the lavish gatefold presentation sleeves of many YES albums.

With sales of over 50 million records, the Grammy-award winning YES were inducted into The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2017 where they performed Roundabout from the album Fragile and the FM radio-friendly Owner Of A Lonely Heart from the 1985 album 90125.

KING CRIMSON 2021 TOUR UPDATE

We know that many who have bought tickets, or hope to buy tickets, for King Crimson shows this year eagerly await positive news. It would be wonderful to announce definite plans to give us all something to which to look forward. Sadly that is not yet possible. We continue to work around the significant issues created by the pandemic, not least the considerable uncertainty about when large scale concerts will be safe to resume.

King Crimson are currently keeping options for two touring schedules in the USA this summer, followed by Japan in the winter.

The first period in the USA, with concerts in the Southern States, probably starting in Florida and ending in California, would be mid-July to early August. The second period, largely on the East Coast and Canada, would be late August to mid-September

Those are the only touring periods available to the band in the USA, so we wait to see exactly which shows it will be possible to play.

Much will depend on the success of the vaccine programmes on both sides of the Atlantic. We will announce dates as soon as we have them.

For those with Royal Package or other tickets, we do still hope to play the vast majority of the cities from the original tour schedule.

All being well, we expect to close the year by playing Japan and possibly Australia in November and December.

In the meantime, we hope that everyone keeps safe.

MARILLION are: Steve Hogarth – lead vocals, lyrics, keyboards, percussion, Steve Rothery – electric guitars, acoustic guitars, Pete Trewavas – Bass, Guitar, Backing Vocals, , Mark Kelly – keyboards, and Ian Mosley – drums, percussion

We are extremely fortunate, we had set aside this year to make our 19th studio album and so we saved up a bit and we budgeted for a year on the ground, before this plague broke,” said lead vocalist Steve Hogarth.

2020 has been a terrible year for everyone and Marillion are grateful for the continued support of their family of faithful fans, particularly the wonderful donations from the Couch Convention weekend in September which raised £31,530 for their crew who have been hard hit financially by the pandemic.

Of the success of the weekend, Mark Kelly said: “What a weekend it was! We were totally stunned and knocked out by everyone’s involvement in everything that went on, from Steve Rothery’s late night cocktails to Pete’s Bass Masterclass. Ian’s Drum Q&A and my early morning fun run and all the music, chat and fancy dress in between.

“It was fun for us to be in the audience, too, reading and reacting to all your comments as the shows were streamed. The crew tip-jar was overflowing with your generosity, you raised a substantial sum for our wonderful crew. The money will go a long way to helping them survive a difficult year. Thank you!”

For many years Marillion have enjoyed a unique relationship with their fans. In the late 1990s  Marillion’s US fans sponsored an entire US tour following an appeal and the band responded by creating the very first rock ‘n’ roll website in the UK, changing the musical landscape. The support of Marillion’s passionate fans enabled them to bypass music industry convention and take control of their own future. Away from record company pressure, Marillion launched its own record label and enjoyed the freedom to produce some of the finest music of its career.

In 2001 Marillion asked fans to pre-order their next album a full 12 months before release. Incredibly 12,000 people signed up to finance the recording, and launch of the album

Anoraknophobia. Marillion thereby INVENTED crowdfunding as a business model, returning the fans faith with a specially packaged CD with each subscriber’s name included in the list of ‘thanks

The 2016 studio album F*** Everyone And Run (FEAR) was Marillion’s most successful for over 20 years reaching number 4 in the UK chart and was followed, in 2018, by their first ever concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall, a show that sold out in just 4 minutes.  Marillion returned to the RAH with their ‘With Friends From The Orchestra Tour ‘for 2 more sold out shows in November 2019.

This relationship with their family of fans has continued to grow and their hugely popular biennial conventions provide a marvellous opportunity for the band and fans to meet. With a catalogue of 18 albums, not only has Marillion’s music continued to progress and change with the times, but the band have led the way, adapting to the changing world around them while the loyalty of their fans remains undiminished.

DEAD CAN DANCE TICKETS NOW AVAILABLE FOR EUROPA 2020

NEW SHOWS – EUROPA – 2021
Tickets are on-sale on Friday at 10am CET 👉dcd.ffm.to/live.ofp

Dead Can Dance (sometimes referred to as DCD) are an ethereal neoclassical world music duo which formed in Melbourne, Australia, in August 1981. Its mainstays are Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry. The band relocated to London in May 1982 and disbanded in 1998, but reunited for world tours in 2005 and 2012. Their 1996 album Spiritchaser reached No. 1 on the Billboard Top World Music Albums Chart. Australian music historian Ian McFarlane described Dead Can Dance as having an ambient style of world music that “constructed soundscapes of mesmerising grandeur and solemn beauty… with African polyrhythms, Gaelic folk, Gregorian chants, Middle Eastern mantras and art-rock”.

Pain of Salvation – Launch first single/video for opening track “ACCELERATOR” off new album “PANTHER”

Firmly at the forefront of the progressive rock and metal scenes for nearly three decades now and one of modern rock’s most acclaimed live acts, Sweden’s Pain of Salvation return with a new studio album entitled “PANTHER”, due out August 28th, 2020 worldwide via InsideOutMusic.

A first single and video (Directed by Lars Ardarve) off “PANTHER” is being debuted today.
Check out the album’s opening track “ACCELERATOR” here:

Pain of Salvation’s Daniel Gildenlöw checked in with the following comment about the song/video:
“It has been brilliant to work with Lars for a video, after all these years of photographing. We think alike and always have a blast when we work together. We had three very long days of shooting it, only Lars and us in the band in Skjulstahallen, a large gymnastics hall kindly provided by IKEG. As per usual, I found myself in weird situations, like making high flips and jumps over Lars’ head. We are very happy with this video and think it’s the perfect kickoff for the PANTHER album.”

“PANTHER”, the follow-up release to 2017’s “In The Passing Light Of Day” album, was recorded, mixed and produced by Daniel Gildenlöw with Daniel Bergstrand (In Flames, Meshuggah, Devin Townsend) and comes with a comprehensive artwork-theme with illustrations made by André Meister (Frontcover to be seen above!).

Here is the track-listing for the standard edition of the album:

YES Announces Re-scheduled UK & Ireland dates for The Album Series 2021 Tour

The Album Series 2021

YES announce re-scheduled UK & Ireland dates, due to the coronavirus pandemic, for The Album Series 2021 Tour. The tour was originally scheduled to kick off this month in Liverpool – it will now begin on 16th May 2021 in Manchester. The show will feature their 1974 Relayer album in its entirety together with a selection of other classic YES favourites. YES recently announced the re-scheduled European dates and are looking forward to returning to live shows.

“Many things have changed in the world these past few months. My appreciation for the freedoms we’ve enjoyed in the past has grown along with my gratitude for all the people caring for humanity throughout the world.

I can’t wait to be on stage again in front of real audiences playing YESmusic. I’m hoping we can bring some joy and positivity back into our lives.

Please take care and stay safe, we want to see our many fans and friends again in 2021!”

Sincerely, Alan White

The tour line-up features Steve Howe (guitars), Alan White (drums), Geoff Downes (keyboards), Jon Davison (vocals), Billy Sherwood (bass guitar and backing vocals) and Jay Schellen (additional drums and percussion).

The show will comprise two sets by the band with full production and a high definition video wall. The first will feature favourite classic tracks from YES’ extensive catalogue. The second will feature Relayer, the seventh studio album by YES, and one of the band’s most distinctive. Relayer marked a slight change in direction as Patrick Moraz replaced Rick Wakeman on keyboards bringing an edgier, avant-garde feel to the album. This was perfect for the opening track Gates Of Delirium, almost 22 minutes in length, with its battle scene featuring the keyboard of Moraz and Steve

Howe’s guitar. The battle gives way to the beautiful closing ballad Soon, a prayer for peace and hope.

The album continues with Sound Chaser, a prog-rock-jazz fusion experiment heavily influenced by Moraz’s style and To Be Over, a calm and gentle conclusion to the album, based on a melody by Steve Howe.

Released in late 1974 on Atlantic Records, Relayer continued YES’ success reaching number 4 in the UK album chart and number 5 in the US Billboard chart.
