Lana Lane To Return With First New Album Since 2012’s ‘El Dorado Hotel’

Frontiers Music Srl is thrilled to announce the return of Lana Lane, who has signed to the label for a new multi-album deal.

Lana Lane is an accomplished rock vocalist with a long history of recording and touring. Born in Concord, California to a musical family, Lana grew up on a balanced diet of both rock music and big band swing music. Since music was always in the house, singing came very naturally to Lana, and she started fronting bands straight out of high school. To forward her career, Lana moved to Los Angeles in the late ’80s where she met her husband/producer Erik Norlander (Dukes Of The Orient, ASIA featuring John Payne).

Lana’s debut album, “Love is an Illusion”, was released in 1995 to critical acclaim. It soon caught the ear of a Japanese record company, Marquee Belle Antique, who saw great potential in the music, and of course in Lana’s voice. The company released Lana’s second album, “Curious Goods”, in 1996, and then in 1998, Marquee launched a new high-profile label called Avalon with Lana Lane as their flagship artist. Avalon released Lana’s “Garden of the Moon” album which skyrocketed her career on the international stage, ultimately resulting in her first European release.

Lana began touring in Japan in 1998 to support “Garden of the Moon” and the subsequent “Ballad Collection” and “Queen of the Ocean” releases. She then expanded her touring efforts to Europe in 2001 to support “Secrets of Astrology”, with additional tours in 2003 and 2004. In 2004, Lana released her first DVD, “Storybook: Tales from Europe and Japan”, which documented her first years of touring on two continents. Then in 2005, Lana embarked on her 10th Anniversary Tour which culminated in her appearance at the Sweden Rock Festival at the end of the European leg and then the filming her 10th Anniversary Concert DVD in Tokyo after the final show in Japan at the tour’s conclusion. These years also marked the beginning of Lana’s relationship with Frontiers Music Srl.

Lana has been dubbed “The Queen of Symphonic Rock” by fans and media, yet she remains a very versatile artist, able to move from intimate jazz pieces (“Ballad Collections”, “Winter Sessions”) to bone-crushing progressive metal (“Secrets of Astrology”, “Lady Macbeth”, etc.). But, in the end, it is Lana’s love of melody and artistry that reigns overall. She is a dedicated artist who approaches her craft with grace and integrity. Lana Lane released her last album, “El Dorado Hotel” in 2012, so it has been a long time coming for her next release! The new album will again be produced by Lana’s husband, Erik Norlander. The release is anticipated for release in late 2021 and will be Lana’s 11th full-length studio album.

ARC Of LIFE – I WANT TO KNOW YOU BETTER – ALBUM OUT NOW featuring 3 members of YES

Arc Of Life is a new progressive rock supergroup featuring three members of the current YES line-up, vocalist/guitarist Jon Davison, bassist/vocalist Billy Sherwood and additional drummer Jay Schellen. On keyboards, one of the most interesting talents in the “new” progressive rock scene in the US, Dave Kerzner (Sound of Contact)  and Jimmy Haun (also featured on YES albums in the past) on guitar.

Billy Sherwood describes the music as, “interesting, with well-crafted songs, performed with precision and grace. All songs feature memorable melodies and lyrics that take the listener on a sonic adventure. Dynamic arrangements with peaks and valleys… it’s all there.”

In Jon Davison’s words, “Each YES member understands and supports when others may desire to explore and thrive along new artistic avenues. We then each find further inspiration to bring back to the YES fold.”
But all the descriptions are best left to the listeners to discern for themselves as repeat listens will reveal more layers.
Arc Of Life is a true garden of delight for progressive rock fans and the band is looking forward to performing live. “Once the world gets over the COVID hump, Arc Of Life will be planning as much touring as we can fit in between YES and our other projects. Quite honestly, we’re all chomping at the bit to be out performing again!” concludes Jon Davison.

ONE DESIRE will embark on a tour of the UK and Europe with The Night Flight Orchestra on March 6th. See below for dates and stay tuned for announcements about more dates coming up.

Stream ‘After You’re Gone’ and pre-order/save the album HERE:

ONE DESIRE released their self-titled debut to massive acclaim. With a true hit single, ‘Hurt’ (nearly 2 million views on Youtube, 3 million streams on Spotify) the band found their way to the forefront of the melodic rock scene. A couple of successful European tours with Eclipse and H.E.A.T were followed by more dates and festivals through the end of 2017, before the band headed back to the studio to start work on their sophomore release.

In the works for a little over two years, the resulting album “Midnight Empire” generously repays the long wait the fans have had to suffer for new music from the band. It’s a more mature, at times adventurous, album, but still with an unbelievable hookiness that fans know and love from the debut. This is simply your album of the year if you like, no LOVE Melodic Rock. It’s going to be quite impossible to top this!

Tracklist:
1. Shadowman
2. After You’re Gone
3. Down And Dirty
4. Godsent Extasy
5. Through The Fire
6. Heroes

Her Chariot Awaits to release self-titled debut April 10, 2020 via Frontiers Music Srl.

Her Chariot Awaits is a newly formed hard rock/metal group featuring the highly regarded Spanish vocalist Ailyn (ex-Sirenia) and the awesome American guitarist and producer Mike Orlando (Adrenaline Mob).
The band’s self-titled debut will be released on April 10, 2020, via Frontiers Music Srl. Today, the band has released their first single and music video, ‘Dead & Gone’.

Of first single ‘Dead & Gone’, Ailyn says “Dead & Gone tells us the story in the first person of how it feels to have been neglected and abandoned by somebody, in this case, a biological father. It’s about the words the character, a woman wants to express to make him realize how he made her feel, and in a way put an end to that story in her life and be able to move on.”

On the writing of the song, Mike says, “The song came together musically starting with the verse guitar parts and the heavy bridge/solo section. From that point, everything fell into place as I wanted the chorus to drop more into a slower half time groove. Lyrically, it started as somewhat of a letter from my girlfriend Dana regarding her biological father. I then turned the basis of what she was trying to say into a more streamlined story and added a chorus and some key sections. A true story brought to life in a song and a powerful message that Ailyn delivered wonderfully.”

Continues Orlando, “We had a great time shooting the video over the course of a few days. It takes place in multiple locations, which included an old Victorian style home and a beautiful modern farmhouse style home owned by my dear friend Nancy. Ailyn plays the part of a daughter who feels neglected and abandoned by her father. The video ends up outside with the band performing around a raging fire pit in an attempt to rid herself of all the memories and pain and move on. The final moment being encompassed by her tossing dirt on the flame, putting an end to the story and walking away.”

This exciting new musical alliance came about through the vision of Frontiers, who put the two artists – each eager to create a new and exciting project – in touch. The pair gelled extremely well, creating an album that offers songs that will excite all lovers of technical, aggressive, modern and extremely catchy heavy music. Melting the well-defined metal approach of Adrenaline Mob with more melodic hooks, Her Chariot Awaits showcases the incredible vocal talents of Ailyn. Here, she moves in a heavier and more straight-ahead direction compared to her previous band.

“After a two-year break from the scene, I am pleased to announce my new collaboration with Mike Orlando on Her Chariot Awaits. I’m very honored and thankful to be part of it. I’m looking forward to everyone learning about this new adventure, which allowed me to experiment and explore a new side to my singing, working together with a great musician. Her Chariot Awaits is a new step forward in my music career and I can’t wait to share the beginning of this journey with all of you,” enthuses Ailyn.

Orlando adds that “It was a pleasure to write and perform an album with a singer like Ailyn with music that is geared more towards the commercial side of rock. Ailyn has a beautiful voice and was great to work within and out of the studio, as was Jeff Thal on drums! I’m very happy with how the album is coming out. It’s a great collection of hard-hitting yet melodic commercial rock tracks, which I hope you will all enjoy.”

The album is a remarkable union of two great artists who still have a lot to prove, and is going to leave listeners breathless come April 10th!
