ifsounds and Melodic Revolution Records are proud to announce the upcoming release of the band’s 6th album “An Gorta Mór”.
According to ifsounds
“An Gorta Mór” is a concept album about the theme of runaway: the opening and the closing numbers build a bridge between the tragedy of the Irish Famine (An Gorta Mór in Gaelic) and the massive Irish exodus to America of the middle of the 19th Century with the current move of people from Africa to Europe through the Mediterranean way. The other songs are about runaway and desperation from another point of view, focusing on other social issues such as unemployment and domestic abuse.

On November 6th, 2012 ifsounds releases the ambitious concept album the Red Apple just 40 days prior to the real possibility of Armageddon as predicted by the Mayans.
For over a 1,000 years, many people around the world including Scientists feared of a global catastrophe predicted by the Mayans, this fear which could end the human race is always with us.
Dario Lastella from the Italian progressive rock band ifsounds wrote a concept album and a novel inspired by a global madness scenario. “Mela Rossa” is a choral novel which describes the four different corners of the world during the last days of a fatal 2012: Italy, Argentina, Mongolia, and the USA.
According to Dario, The novel is mainly about human feelings and behavior and about the management of the power. What is true and what is false? Who can we trust? Who could “ride the gravy train” of an end-of-the-world scenario? Does the threat come from the outer space? Are they the aliens? Or are we the real threat for the human race?
In 2017 Dario’s novel Mela Rossa, the companion to the album Red Apple is published in Italian by Planet Book.

We were gratified by the outpouring of support from the music community. When we put forth a call to action for track donations to support – One Love! Music for Relief, t he immediate reaction from the musicians was “Yes we want to help anyway we can!” After the official announcement of One Love! Music for Relief, many more artists reached out in wanting to lend their support and the result is a digital album that has almost 3 hours of music with 30+ artists.
Our hope is that this release will not only raise some of the much needed money to help the survivors of these tragedies and their families, we also hope to continue to focus awareness on the human aspect of our existence long after the fickle media cycle has moved on. Yes there are natural disasters, unfortunately there is no short supply of these, but it is how we humans come together that is the true miracle of our existence. We cannot let these events S fall off our radar, we must continue to support our fellow humans as they begin to rebuild their lives. So yes the earthquake in Central Italy and catastrophic flooding in Louisiana have abated, but now the road to rebuilding has begun and we know that support will be needed for some time to come, There is Hope Records wants to ensure that support continues.
