Progressive Metal pioneers FATES WARNING are releasing their new live album entitled “Live Over Europe” today via InsideOutMusic worldwide.
Gathered during the group’s most recent European headlining run for FATES WARNING’s much acclaimed latest studio album “Theories Of Flight” in January 2018, “Live Over Europe” includes audio recordings from 8 different cities (Aschaffenburg / Germany, Belgrade / Serbia, Thessaloniki and Athens / Greece, Rome and Milan / Italy, Budapest / Hungary as well as Ljubljana / Slovenia) and a total of 23 songs in over 138 minutes of playing time, spanning 30 years of the group’s seminal career.
“Live Over Europe” was mixed by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Kreator, Symphony X) and mastered by Tony Lindgren at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden and is available as limited 2CD Mediabook, Gatefold 3LP + Bonus-2CD or as Digital Album.

In late 2017, Dream Theater signed with Sony Music’s progressive imprint InsideOutMusic. James comments: “We’ve been here for one week and it is going sensational. Everybody is in the one room…and I gotta tell you, if the first week is any indication of where this album is going, you’re in for a treat.”
John adds: “There’s a lot of ideas flowing, and it’s already been really productive after only a week in. So far the music is heavy, progressive, melodic, shredding and it’s epic.”

After 5 years of power metal, I have decided to give a high on the way. Sometimes there comes a time when you have to pause to look back and close cycles. For me, today ends the power metal cycle and more specifically, my cycle with wings of destiny.
I am getting a lot of success with the band, with the experience of three albums and unforgettable international goats both in Costa Rica and in other countries. I leave a lot of friends in wings of destiny to whom I wish them the best; I do not doubt they will continue to reap more triumphs and put Costa Rican metal in high.
To all the fans of the band, thank you very much for the support you have given us and will continue to give. Wings of Destiny: stay metal!!!

On September 22nd, 2017, Devin Townsend Project played a special show at the Ancient Roman Theatre in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the landmark Ocean Machine album in full, as well as a set of fan-requested tracks alongside the Orchestra of Plovdiv State Opera. This concert was filmed, and on July 6th, 2018 it will see the light of day as ‘Ocean Machine – Live at the Ancient Roman Theatre Plovdiv’.
Today sees the launch of the second video to be taken from the live release, and you can watch DTP perform the track ‘Regulator’ from the album ‘Ocean Machine’, here:
Devin comments: “Hello again folks, dev here again…head above water for a minute from the massive writing period I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to do. Today, im proud that we can release another track from the upcoming ‘Live at the Ancient Theatre’ Performance. This one comes in the form of ‘Regulator’ from the Ocean Machine portion of the set. This DVD is a really important part of my work to date, as it not only summarizes a large portion of my musical output, but also swings right back around to the first true solo album, Ocean Machine, with the original bassist, John Harder, joining me onstage.
When all is said and done, this DVD acts as a powerful swan song for this portion of my career, and I am excited for people to actually get the whole thing into their worlds.

Devin Townsend Project released the much acclaimed ‘Transcendence’ in late 2016, before embarking on one of their biggest world tours ever. This new live release marks the end of an era, as Devin Townsend Project was disbanded in early 2018 to pave the way for Devin to focus on numerous other creative, musical endeavours of which he is currently hard at work on.
SONS OF APOLLO–former Dream Theater members Mike Portnoy and Derek Sherinian, Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal (ex-Guns N’ Roses), Billy Sheehan (The Winery Dogs, Mr. Big, David Lee Roth) and Jeff Scott Soto (ex-Journey, ex-Yngwie Malmsteen’s Rising Force) — are about to begin the band’s first ever European live dates, starting this Friday at Hellfest in France.
