Melodic Revolution Records is proud to announce they have just struck a multi-album deal with the UK Progressive Metal Band Nth Ascension.
Nth Ascension joined MRR in mid-2015 with a distribution deal for their 2014 release Ascension of Kings, and have transitioned over to the label for their future releases. 2016 will bring a new offering from Nth Ascension which will be released via Melodic Revolution Records.
Nth Ascension was conceived of in 2009 by Darrel Treece-Birch (TEN keyboardist) with his friend Craig Walker after the two had performed in a Charity gig. By January 2010 Treece-Birch’s long-time friends and writing partners had joined – Alan “Spud” Taylor and Martin Walker and in 2012 Gavin Walker joined to round out this five (5) piece powerhouse.
This is truly a collaborative group of musicians, each member a gifted songwriter in their own right, their individual “bare-bones” ideas are brought to the table for refinement and development by the entire band; resulting in an explosion of sound and lyric magnificence all borne of the natural flow of the creative effort of the collective.
The creative juices are once again flowing and beginning in late 2015 the band started work on their third album. They are currently in the studio recording and we will see a release in the Autumn of 2016.

Port Mahadia are back after an 8 year absence with a follow up to their debut album “Echoes In Time” (2007). The band was formed in 2004, the core of the band consisted of Erinn Waggoner: Bass & Vocals, Cameron Castle: Guitars, Rusty Clutts: Drums & Percussions and William O’Connell: Keyboards, and featured special guests Damian Wilson (Threshold) and cellist Hugh McDowell (Electric Light Orchestra) and David Ragsdale (Kansas).
The band are ready to unleash both their 2nd offering “Quantum Space” and a new line-up. Returning on the new album, singer, songwriter and bassist Erinn Waggoner joined by Johnny Anderson: Guitars and Justin Emmerson: Drums & Percussions. Like their previous effort, the new album also features many special guests, including: Kerry Shacklett (Presto Ballet) Hugh McDowell (Electric Light Orchestra) Will Shaw (Heir Apparent), among others.
Port Mahadia took a detour into this creative project to fulfill the band’s desire to reinvent some Classic music that they have enjoyed over the years whist working on their new material. Port Mahadia is hard at work and in the throes of writing and recording their new original material. Quantum Space showcases eight Classic songs by such artists as Rush, Emerson Lake & Palmer, U.K. and The Beatles among others. Port Mahadia didn’t want this to be just another covers album and playing each track note for note. They wanted to release a fresh take on the Classic songs, so they revamped the songs with there own heavy signature sound while maintaining the integrity of the original version. The album also features two new tracks, Principle of Disorder and Cannae.
Quantum Space will be available in two formats: CD and High Quality Digital Download with pre-orders going on sale February 8th 2016 and worldwide release on February16th 2016

199X is the New Official Music Video from Anuryzm taken from the bands latest release “All Is Not For All”
According to the band the new music video “199X” is a homage to the 90′s!! Skateboard culture, retro video gaming, summer jobs and of course the hot girl next door crush!! All these elements culminate in catchy riffs and heartfelt lyrics as the band pay tribute to a period in time which they feel very influenced by.
“Back then, metal was seeing an emergence from glam and speed/thrash to more groove-inspired and technical songwriting structure” explains John Bakhos, Lead Guitarist.
“John and I really forged our skills covering a lot of 90s metal when we were in high school, and the atmosphere of brotherhood among metal bands back then on those awesome summer tours, really inspired us to tell our 90s story, growing up in the U.A.E, while simultaneously paying tribute to the atmosphere and creativity of the time period.” according to Nadeem Michel Bibby, vocalist.
“The older we get; and as we befriend many of our 90s musical heroes, the more we realize that they grew up with hopes and dreams just like us and most importantly, the drive to innovate and inspire.

Italian crossover prog and rock band ifsounds have announced that Lino Mesina is now a member of the band as their new drummer.
Lino is a highly trained in jazz and rock and is a former drum teacher as well as playing for many high class bands. The ifsounds family welcomes Lino and thanks Gianni Manariti for his friendship, for the excellent job done on Reset and wishes him the best for his future projects.
if sounds released “Reset” is the third official full length album on July 30th 2015, and was the bands first attempt at producing and releasing an album both in English and in Italian to explore lyrical opportunities in both their Native and English language.
“Reset” is an album about sudden stops and re-starts. Musically it’s about ifsounds, their story, their evolution and re-birth as a band. Lyrically “Reset” is about those shocking events that can upset a quite and ordinary life, leading you to want to completely reset your existence.
