Australian rock band Sonic Divide returns with “ALIVE” their second single from the upcoming sophomore album “The Other Side”.
The Sophomore album was completed late 2019 in Adelaide, Australia and produced by Sean Timms at Timms Tunes Studio and will be available in the first half of 2020.
About Alive
I had a demo version of the music that I recorded at home in Logic, and I sent the song to Wayne for him to come up with lyrics. I had a chorus lyric and vocal which was “Come Alive”.
Wayne came up with the lyrics and melody which ended up being based around “Now I’m Coming To Life” but we all preferred to just keep calling the song Alive.
Alive, was a late entry to the album, the other guys literally learned it a week before we hit the studio.
The keyboard parts heard in the final album version are actually from the original demo that I sent Wayne.

Hard Rock band NeverWake premiered their video for the single “Call Out My Name” on Bravewords.com. NeverWake is based in Pittsburgh PA with an international social media fan base of over 100,000 followers. “Call Out My Name” has hit the airwaves and has been picked up and is in rotation internationally on many FM and digital radio stations.
“The song is about burying and leaving something behind. Something that could call back to you, but you’ve moved on and can’t be influenced over it anymore. For some of us, it’s toxic relationships, for others, it’s addiction, and the list could go on. We’ve all got something that we’ve left behind for one reason or another, calling us back. But if we remember the reason we buried it, it’s easier to ignore” says Johnny DiCarlo (lead vocals/lead guitar).
Johnny adds, “The video was actually shot and produced by my company The Presenters. We also had some camera and production help from my friend James Watson, who actually used to be in NW. We built that set in the basement of the house I grew up in. Actually a lot of our older music was created in that basement now that I think of it. A few of the guys in the band are pretty big gamers. The set for this video was actually inspired by a video game I played back in college. In the game, I remember walking in a room and stopping to admire my surroundings. The walls were draped in an elegant red, there were pieces of art here and there. So we made a similar area. Draped the walls, scattered some gold and brass elements around, added some older antiques. In a way, I think it worked great. You’ve got these guys surrounded by relics of the past and junk collected at various times doing something new. “
NeverWake’s sound is a dark take on active hard rock. It’s a sinew of rock and metal elements complete with captivating melodies, dark guitar harmonies, and head-banging grooves. Their melodic vocals pull the listener into a haunting trance which is then awakened with explosive guitar work over a strong foundational bass and powerful drum performances. NeverWakeconsists of Johnny DiCarlo on lead vocals/lead guitar, Marcus Giannamore on drums/vocals, George Scott on bass guitar/vocals and Justin Sanford lead guitar/vocals.
NeverWake recently finished a 30 day, 25 city national tour with active rock artists “The Veer Union” and is in the process of completing their 4th release “Misguided”, a 6-song EP produced by John Moyer of Disturbed. This follows a 5 song EP (also produced by John Moyer) and two full 12/13-song albums.
NeverWake’s notoriety is increasing internationally as they have achieved feats such as performing at the Loudest Month festival Carolina Rebellion, at the Heart of Texas Rockfest-SXSW in Austin TX, Rockfest WI, along with countless other national acts across the US.
NeverWake is currently endorsed by Schecter Guitars, EMG pickups, DR Handmade Strings, and Splawn Amplification. NeverWake is signed to Melodic Revolution Records and managed by Atomic Cowboy Productions.
Please get in touch if you would like to interview the band.

Our Kingdom is the 9th track from the new album Elements by German Prog metal band Thoughts Factory
The song revolves around a man who finds that his girl saved him from a terrible fate. She gave him the power to solve his problems, he never thought he could solve at all. After the obstacles have been removed from his path he will be able to build a common future, it will take time and be a lot of hard work, but in the end, the outcome will be good.
Quiet steps slowly approaching Warm hands reaching out for me To take me for a walk through the ruins of my life I leave it all behind, fetters to unbind I brought the spark and you brought the flame I showed you my sins and you made me change Words that I said and the things you received Expose who I am and who I’ll become after you’re gone You’re the scorching fire in my heart That makes me burning through the dark You’re the sparkling water on my skin That clears my mind and keeps me sane Will I see you stay, forever and a day Stone by stone and heartbeat by heartbeat We build this kingdom of our own The draft is in our hands, no foes left to defeat Stone by stone and heartbeat by heartbeat We build this kingdom of our own Hand in hand, together we’ll ascend the throne I brought the spark and you brought the flame I showed you my sins and you made me change Words that I said and the things you received Expose who I am and who I’ll become after you’re gone You’re the scorching fire in my heart That makes me burning through the dark You’re the sparkling water on my skin That clears my mind and keeps me sane Will I see you stay, forever and a day Cause I’ll walk by your side, forever and a night credits from Elements, released January 24, 2020 Music: Schornstein, Wurth Lyrics: Wurth, Schornstein

Recorded across the band’s mammoth 53 show 2019 European tour, to mark the 25th anniversary of the collective’s formation in Croydon in 1994,
the ‘25 Live’ tour started in Paris with a sold-out show at the 5,000 capacity La Seine Musicale venue in May, continuing at the historic Acropolis Amphitheatre in Athens and winding-up, 16 countries later, in Barcelona mid-December.
The Paris show in May also marked the release of Archive’s career-spanning box set retrospective collection ‘25’.
Talking about the tour and the ‘25 Live’album, Archive co-founder Darius Keeler said:
“The tour was, without doubt, the most ambitious live outing Archive has ever undertaken, playing great shows to sell-out crowds, in some incredible venues, it felt like a celebration every single night! We wanted to make this free live album available, not just to all the people who saw us on the tour, but to everyone who’s supported Archive throughout our career and made the last 25 years possible.”

The band documented the 25 Live tour on film, directed by Archive vocalist Dave Pen:
“I’ve always been into experimenting with film, I’ve made videos for other projects but I really wanted to document such an important tour for Archive. It was very much a point and shoot film, I was aiming to give fans an honest insight into life on the road with the band, and I think the resulting film does that.”

Black Swan: Robin McAuley – Lead Vocals & Background Vocals Reb Beach – Guitars and Background Vocals Jeff Pilson – Bass, Acoustic Guitar, Keys & Background Vocals Matt Starr – Drums and Percussion
The genesis of Black Swan was sparked by a conversation between Jeff Pilson and Frontiers’ President & Head of A&R, Serafino Perugino, who wanted a project that would not only showcase McAuley’s vocal prowess, but have a mighty musical backbone to stand skyscraper tall behind him. Thus, the initial seeds were planted and Pilson ran with it from there. “Shake The World” was tracked at Pilson’s home studio in Los Angeles, “Shake The World” is a showcase of both the musical talents of the instrumental players in the band as well as McAuley’s powerful voice. The four members got Black Swan off the ground by exchanging ideas back and forth and then bringing all the songs together. The final result is something fresh, very heavy, but still intensely melodic and it’s certainly not Dokken, nor Winger, nor MSG, or some combination thereof, but it’s own unique animal. As an example, one of the songs was written by Jeff Pilson right after seeing the Queen movie ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’. “I came home and I sat down at the grand piano and pretty much wrote exactly the chorus that we have, just coming straight [from] the movie. It is a bit Queen-like.” Continues Pilson, “It’s amazing, incredible music. Wait until you hear everybody’s playing and singing. It’s beyond — way beyond.”
Adds Robin McAuley, “This is really exciting for me to read: Black Swan announces the release of “Shake the World,” the first offering from the band on the Frontiers’ label.” I’ve known Jeff for some thirty years and we have a history of performing together on MSG Unplugged, in addition to being great friends, musically and socially. When he asked me to do this and collaborate with Reb, I didn’t have to think too long with my response. Initially he wasn’t going to play bass on this, but Reb and myself soon changed his mind, lol!!! Bringing Matt into the mix was a great decision. His powerful energy and style is unmistakable on this album. Overall, it is a very powerful blend of styles and writing. Reb is truly an amazing guitarist and songwriter. Jeff captured my vocals the way I like to sound. Probably the best vocal sound I’ve had… ever!!!! Such a great and creative studio experience for me. This is kick ass, powerful music on an album full of great songs. If you love strong melodies and BIG choruses, BLACK SWAN won’t disappoint!! It’s time…”SHAKE THE WORLD!!!”
Guitarist Reb Beach says, “When Jeff approached me to do this, I was so excited because I loved writing “Erase the Slate” with him for Dokken. I also played in the band with Jeff for four years, and we worked so well together, writing and live too. He is as good as it gets when it comes to a rock musician, a great songwriter and an absolute joy to work with. I came in with riffs, Jeff arranged them into a song by adding his own parts, and then Robin wrote the lyrics, and knocked it out of the park with the vocals. I am pretty particular about singers, and Robin’s voice is so slammin’ that I wouldn’t want anyone else. Matt came in with his huge drum sound, and we had a great sounding band. Very exciting stuff!!”
“Shooting the video was a blast,” says drummer Matt Starr. “Shot in Los Angeles over the course of two days, it was similar to recording the record, everything was very organic and comfortable. That’s the advantage of working with guys who have so much experience. There’s not too much discussion going on. Everybody knows what to do, we just get to work and do it. That leaves more time for hanging out, chatting and smoking cigars!”
The album is a killer slice of melodic hard rock & heavy metal from seasoned players who have gelled musically. Whether you are a fan from “back in the day” or brand new to the scene and just diving in, the album is essential listening!
