Melodic Revolution Records is pleased to announce that Joe Deninzon & Stratospheerius will release their LP of their highly acclaimed fifth album “Guilty of Innocence” a year after the official CD release via Melodic Revolution Records. The 10-track LP will be available worldwide in both Physical and Digital formats. As with the previous CD & Digital version “Guilty of Innocence” features special appearances by Alex Skolnick(Testament), Rave Tesar(Renaissance) and Randy McStine (Lo-Fi Resistance, The Fringe).
“Guilty of Innocence” highlights include the hit singles “Behind the Curtain” a reimagined cover of Muse’s “Hysteria,” and the 12-minute prog mini-epic titled “Soul Food” which features many of the guests mentioned above, plus “Dream Diary Cadenza,” a solo electric violin extravaganza lifted from Joe’s electric violin concerto.
Stratospheerius is led by founding member, electric violinist & vocalist Joe Deninzonwho has been called the “Jimi Hendrix of the electric violin.” “Guilty of Innocence” features French guitarist Aurelien Budynek(Cindy Blackman, Vernon Reid), bassist Jamie Bishop(The Syn, Francis Dunnery), and drummer Lucianna Padmore, praised by Modern Drummer Magazine for her “Deep grooves and serious fusion chops.”
Joe talks about the Vinyl/LP version of “Guilty of Innocence” Guilty of Innocence was a watershed moment for Stratospheeriusthis past year. After years of touring and putting out CD’s, I felt that this record was embraced by the progressive rock community on a bigger scale than any of our previous releases. In our touring and festival appearances alongside other artists in the prog world, I noticed more and more artists are manufacturing vinyl, and in many cases, it is outselling their CD’s at live shows. I believe the resurgent interest in vinyl has to do with the fact that in the digital age, we consume music on the go in a condensed mp3/streaming format. There is a hunger to hold something tangible in our hands, admire the artwork on a record, and have the home listening experience be something special. We are excited to join the growing community of artists putting out vinyl and hope our fans will buy the record and rediscover it (or DISCOVERit)!

German instrumental rock powerhouse Long Distance Calling released their sixth studio album ‘Boundless’ earlier this year, and followed it with European headline dates. Now, in advance of the second part of their European tour, they are pleased to reveal a brand new video for the track ‘Like A River’.

RIVERSIDE’s Mariusz Duda checked in with the following comment about the track: “River Down Below‘ is another song we’ve written with “river” in the title, the fourth one, if I’m not mistaken. In our case, river symbolises memory and that’s the case here as well. The lyrics tell the story of a wanderer, who accidentally finds the grave of one of those who didn’t manage to survive the apocalypse. He hears a voice, “take me from here, take me to the river, that’s where I belong…”
“If the band continue to exist, the memory of Grudzień will survive”, said one of my friends when I thought it was the end of RIVERSIDE. So there had to be a track on the new album that would refer to it. Not literally. It’s still a story about the world in an alternative future, but you can find that reference between the lines.
It’s a very simple, delicate, and at the same time incredibly powerful song; one of the most beautiful RIVERSIDE melodies I have managed to write, with a brilliant solo by one of our guests, Maciej Meller. We have always subscribed to the idea that there’s great power in simplicity. “River Down Below” showcases the essence of our music and gives an idea of the emotions which can be found on our upcoming new release.

I’ve accidentally written a song that makes a contemporary political point. I didn’t mean to, honest!
Rubble and Dust is the heaviest metal thing I’ve released yet, outside of my instrumental album Murder and Parliament. It’s about a nightmarish sci-fi future where our leaders have gone mad. I wrote it years ago but releasing it now makes it seem like I’m making a comment on politics, what with there being so many madmen in or near power at the moment.
Maybe I am… No, I’m not.
I almost considered it for Happy People – thematically it fits but it didn’t quite have a place there.
The other song is Run, a song about love as the world ends. Which I’m sure is a theme I’ve written about more than once.

The album was recorded and mixed by Francis Perron at RadicArt Recording Studio in Canada and its artwork (as well as the art for the attached singles, to be seen above!) was once again created by VOIVOD drummer Michel “Away” Langevin.
