Neal Morse, Mike Portnoy, Randy George, Bill Hubauer & Eric Gillette, released their latest album ‘The Great Adventure’ at the beginning of 2019. This was the follow-up to their acclaimed 2016 concept album ‘The Similitude Of A Dream’, and shortly after the band embarked on a European headline tour. ‘The Great Adventour – Live in BRNO 2019’ documents these shows, which saw them performing the album in full, and closing with the renowned ‘The Great Medley’– featuring tracks from across Neal’s solo career and each Neal Morse Band album.
As Randy George explains: “After the Similitude tour, expectations were really high, and we had more people coming to these shows than ever before. People were really excited to see it, so we had to make sure that we delivered.”
Performing ‘The Great Adventure’ flawlessly and in its entirety 47 times in 2019, Neal Morse (vocals, keyboards and guitars), Mike Portnoy (drums, vocals and audience cheerleading), Randy George (bass), Bill Hubauer (keyboards and vocals) and Eric Gillette (guitars and vocals) brought audiences to their feet night after exhilarating night: “The tour delivered every night. We never got tired of playing it, and it always paid off”, says George.
One of the countries was the Czech Republic, and it was there in Brno that the band chose to film THE GREAT ADVENTOUR 2019 – LIVE IN BRNO, the definitive record of the tour, as George explains: “This was our first time playing in the Czech Republic and this venue had a different look and vibe: the audience also turned out to be very energetic. They loved it!”
THE GREAT ADVENTOUR 2019 – LIVE IN BRNO shows The Neal Morse Band at the very height of their powers: extraordinary, passionate, intense and intricate rock music played to perfection by five masters of their craft, backed by dramatic video illustrations by Christian Rios.
Available as a 2CD + 2Blu-Ray Digipak, the set also features two tour documentaries from both the US & European runs, as well as the official music videos for the singles taken from ‘The Great Adventure’.
Progressive rockers THE FLOWER KINGS released their highly successful studio double-album ‘Waiting For Miracles’ on InsideOutMusic in November 2019, played a European tour in December, and will embark on the Cruise to the Edge in late March. Widely met with critical acclaim, ‘Waiting For Miracles’ offers complex and intricate compositions, which also profit from drummer Mirkko DeMaio’s impressive performance and style.
He now invites you to check out his playthrough of the epic ‘Miracles For America’ and states: “I’ve recorded this the week right before leaving for Japan for two concerts with The Flower Kings, which have been a huge success! ‘Miracles For America’ is probably the most tricky song of the album ‘Waiting For Miracles’, but it has been for me the most easy to record because, in a total honest way, I’ve practiced this more hehehe…
It’s an edited version (basically I’ve took off a short ‘atmosphere’ part where there’s no drums, just to save a little time) and my drumming is slightly different from the album version, indeed it has more my live approach to it. Enjoy!”

Press on “Waiting For Miracles”: “Lavish, kinetic, dynamic, majestic, catchy, complex, desolate, happy and yes, revitalised, ‘Waiting For Miracles’ is all you would expect from a genuine return to form by one of Prog’s most influential and monumental names.” – Progreport.com
“If you’re a fan of his old-school heroes – Genesis, Yes, Floyd, even Procol Harum – this is high-grade methadone.” – Prog Magazine
Ulterium Records is proud to announce the release of “And the Rest Is Mystery,” another all-star charity track for sale under the Project Aegis name, with 100% of the income going to Legacy Music, a nonprofit organization that provides music lessons and instruments to children and teens from difficult backgrounds. “And the Rest Is Mystery,” which is over nine minutes in length, was composed by Theocracy songwriter and vocalist Matt Smith, and features vocals by Neal Morse (Neal Morse band, Transatlantic, Flying Colors, ex-Spock’s Beard), Daniel Heiman (Dimhav, ex-Lost Horizon, Heed, Harmony, Crystal Eyes), Leah McHenry (LEAH) and Smith, as well as instrumental support from Smith’s Theocracy bandmates Ernie Topran and Val Allen Wood. The artwork was created by Markus Sigfridsson (Darkwater, Harmony, All Things Fallen).

Australian rock band Sonic Divide returns with “ALIVE” their second single from the upcoming sophomore album “The Other Side”.

About Alive
I had a demo version of the music that I recorded at home in Logic, and I sent the song to Wayne for him to come up with lyrics. I had a chorus lyric and vocal which was “Come Alive”.
Wayne came up with the lyrics and melody which ended up being based around “Now I’m Coming To Life” but we all preferred to just keep calling the song Alive.
Alive, was a late entry to the album, the other guys literally learned it a week before we hit the studio.
The keyboard parts heard in the final album version are actually from the original demo that I sent Wayne.

Hard Rock band NeverWake premiered their video for the single “Call Out My Name” on Bravewords.com. NeverWake is based in Pittsburgh PA with an international social media fan base of over 100,000 followers. “Call Out My Name” has hit the airwaves and has been picked up and is in rotation internationally on many FM and digital radio stations.
“The song is about burying and leaving something behind. Something that could call back to you, but you’ve moved on and can’t be influenced over it anymore. For some of us, it’s toxic relationships, for others, it’s addiction, and the list could go on. We’ve all got something that we’ve left behind for one reason or another, calling us back. But if we remember the reason we buried it, it’s easier to ignore” says Johnny DiCarlo (lead vocals/lead guitar).
Johnny adds, “The video was actually shot and produced by my company The Presenters. We also had some camera and production help from my friend James Watson, who actually used to be in NW. We built that set in the basement of the house I grew up in. Actually a lot of our older music was created in that basement now that I think of it. A few of the guys in the band are pretty big gamers. The set for this video was actually inspired by a video game I played back in college. In the game, I remember walking in a room and stopping to admire my surroundings. The walls were draped in an elegant red, there were pieces of art here and there. So we made a similar area. Draped the walls, scattered some gold and brass elements around, added some older antiques. In a way, I think it worked great. You’ve got these guys surrounded by relics of the past and junk collected at various times doing something new. “
NeverWake’s sound is a dark take on active hard rock. It’s a sinew of rock and metal elements complete with captivating melodies, dark guitar harmonies, and head-banging grooves. Their melodic vocals pull the listener into a haunting trance which is then awakened with explosive guitar work over a strong foundational bass and powerful drum performances. NeverWakeconsists of Johnny DiCarlo on lead vocals/lead guitar, Marcus Giannamore on drums/vocals, George Scott on bass guitar/vocals and Justin Sanford lead guitar/vocals.
NeverWake recently finished a 30 day, 25 city national tour with active rock artists “The Veer Union” and is in the process of completing their 4th release “Misguided”, a 6-song EP produced by John Moyer of Disturbed. This follows a 5 song EP (also produced by John Moyer) and two full 12/13-song albums.
NeverWake’s notoriety is increasing internationally as they have achieved feats such as performing at the Loudest Month festival Carolina Rebellion, at the Heart of Texas Rockfest-SXSW in Austin TX, Rockfest WI, along with countless other national acts across the US.
NeverWake is currently endorsed by Schecter Guitars, EMG pickups, DR Handmade Strings, and Splawn Amplification. NeverWake is signed to Melodic Revolution Records and managed by Atomic Cowboy Productions.
Please get in touch if you would like to interview the band.
